Default New Product - Illuminated Center Console Switches

About seven years ago I bought my first 928 (93 GTS) and one of the first questions I called Jim Bailey to ask was "do the center console switches light up?". We all by now know the answer.

Well via my good friend Schocki in Germany I was introduced to a 928 owner who has developed a set of lighted switches which I could not wait to get my hands on.
There are different variants for the different switches and some have the V8 logo on them similar the decals you see from Jaeger.

I have imported an initial 10 sets of the later style switch covers for the 90 to 95 cars. These are totally stock in look and do not have the V8 seen in the pictures. Each switch comes with all the wiring required to complete the installation. We are required to remove the existing switch tops and replace them withe the new.

A set of four is $225 and the quality is outstanding.
Email me if interested at roger@928sRus.com.

Will the switches not work in a 89 model??

Light color is blue or white?

Dean,
They are availble for all years but I only brought in 10 kits for now.
The answer is yes they will and the choice is white and blue,
Roger

Does the one next to the wiper switch also switch between V8 and "real Porsche" mode?

I'll have to go try now.. I'd always assumed on my non-sunroof car it did nothing

That is VERY VERY cool. I always thought that the cars lacked something at night in the area where the switched are located.

Hey Rog. Looks like a cool idea that should sell quickly but what about those of us with NO REAR WIPER (like you and me and a whole lotta other people). Isn't there something besides (in my opinion anyway) that hoakey-looking V8 logo? Hell, maybe even a remote trunk switch pattern or something? (I believe that mod has been made IIRC.) Inquiring minds want to know!

Paul Barrera '91 $$$$4 Rogerbox with no rear wiper and a whacked wing too!

You start with one of these:

Sheesh! Paul - what are you going to whack next.....

Personally I'm on the other track - bigger rear wing, bigger rear wiper and rear washers to boot!

This is great! I constantly forget where I left my window switches at night...

Ok, Alan, you've piqued my interest- My GTS had the rear washer motor completely removed and the hatch holes filled in, so there's now a 'spare' spot in my center console. Looks like that 944 rocker switch is 944 613 129 01. I wonder whether one could connect the 944 switch to the factory GTS rear wiper wiring in the center console and then (at the back of the car) make up some sort of adapter harness to connect my now-superfluous rear wiper motor wiring to the rear hatch release?

Or would one have to run the rocker switch in the console down under the seat and wire it into the driver's side hatch release? (Since I'd guess the wiper switch sends a constant 12V signal while the hatch release is some sort of transient kind of signal (?) )

This is about the last thing I should be thinking about tonight but that would be a neat little stealth mod that no one would notice....

Very nice. Do they require additional wiring to the instrument lamps/dimmer or do they just pull from the switched circuits?
