Been meaning to bring this back up top...

The original file was for 5-speeds. This was great for my GT, but when it came to doing some trans work on my '87, it was just a bit lacking. So I've now created a version for 87+ Automatics (only change is on Page 2). Format is still designed to be a one-pager front & back. Hope this helps someone.

Someone also said that the links were dead for downloading the file. I've hosted them on Google Docs this time. Hopefully that will work well for people.

If I'd given them all those bags and asked them to keep it all separate, they would have charged as if each bag was a "lot". You could have thrown the hardware away and bought new, for 1/10 that would have cost.

As you've seen, I pretty much know where every silly piece of hardware goes, so it is easier for me to set it all out together and pick up what I need...instead of "hunting" for the baggy that has the correct bolt in it.

Hand him an M6x20 where an M6x16 goes, and he'll tell you that it'll bottom out before it'll torque. Without measuring the bolt. Go to the trouble of pre-bagging your tensioner housing mounting bolts based on PET, and he'll pull out the one that PET is wrong about. Scary.

You won't find a copy of this cheat sheet in Greg's shop.

Just a degrease, unless there's rust or bad corrosion, then you can/should wirewheel or beadblast it. The plating process starts with an acid wash that will clean everything well.

Really? Huh, I thought I had reasonably complete literature booklets in my cars but neither had a tech specs book. The torques sheet is shamelessly taken from the Tech Specs book, the WSM, and a bunch of random threads here when I couldn't find #'s in the first two places. I have added some more values but haven't had the time to format it properly.

Someone oughta make an 11x17" poster out of it that's laminated so it's oil/crap/coolant proof....

I used to carry mine in the car, but the book is worth more than the car some days it seems. So the book is at home in the archives box, and I use the CD version on the garage computer.
