Just curious to learn a bit more about another group of enthusiasts and a community that uses the same aftermarket parts manufacturers. Please post up pics of your supercharger, intercooler, heat exchanger, and reservoir setups.

I am curious to know how similar the parts are as used in our applications. I got this curiousity as my 03 Cobra intercooler water pump is failing and due to be replaced as it is pumping slow. It is a Bosch pump: http://http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotor...Q5fAccessories

My first option was to go to the local German Bosch dealer because I am in Germany. But.....the cost for a replacement was 4 time more expensive than ordering from the USA (same part).

Then I began to search for local spare parts/alternate sources from the AMG community and I am truly amazed in the similarity of many products that we use to make more power.

If its not to much trouble, please post a bit about your projects and a few pics. I will do the same. I am also searching old threads simultaneously.

There's a range of options - some good keywords to search for that'll turn up interesting supercharger projects include:

murf
supershark
supermodel
keel
twinscrew
eaton
"rear mount turbo"

You'll also find some interesting twin-turbo pictures, kit and info on the Pelican Parts 928 forum.

Click on the link in grey, in my signature and feel free to ask any questions you have.

Dissregard the intercooler portion of the build as the Volvo unit, even when doubled up with custom end tanks, was too restrictive. I went back to the original non intercooled setup.

Reservoir for IC water - most of us use the huge windshield washer bottle. I put a T-fitting into the large filler hose at the top of the bottle and plugged a pump similar to the Bosch you show directly into the existing pump fitting at the bottom. So, my IC pump pulls from the bottom of the reservoir into a hose that loops up into the top of the right side wheel well and into my "heat exhanger", which is a EX500 motorcycle radiator, and out from that up to the bottom of the IC (mounted directly under the Eaton). The water from the IC is hosed back to the wheel well and into the "T" I installed there in the filler hose. I can't make any claim that the small motorcycle radiator is doing such a great job, but I was loath to put a larger exhanger right in front of the radiator where it would put more of a heat load on our already max'd out engine cooling systems, especially if you like to run the AC on hot days.

I also had my heat exchanger located right in the center of the Radiator but in an effort to help air flow I shifted it as far as I could to the right side (passenger side). It also shortened the hose loop a couple of feet. (less resistance) I have also mounted a 10" fan pulling air thru it.

Greetings again. I just wanted to post up a short video of my car with the blower screaming. Have a look at the photo albums and a couple of videos on my photobucket page (fastlaneray).
