Just ONE more Shark!
Thanks to sty3x (Joey) for posting about a sunroof delete 87 for sale in Oregon back in July, we have another Shark addition to the family! I wasn't even looking for another 928 but when I saw that it was a sunroof delete and appeared to be in decent shape, I could not resist. I love the sunroof delete due to my height - it's much more comfortable for me. The sidestrip delete and rear air delete were icing on the cake - both things I like (to have deleted!).
It has 47K miles and nearly a complete set of service records. I also got the original wheel set with the deal. However, I do not like the "upgraded" wheels the PO installed so will run with those only till the rubber is worn out and I'll get rid of them. This car will replace my current daily driver. So, sadly, I'll probably retire California next summer. "Oregon" is stored away in my shop in Oregon for the time being (because I'm out of room in CA).
I almost missed the OCIC in TX this year because I had planned to pick up this 928 on the same weekend. But thanks to some encouragement from my bretheren here, I moved some things around and drove to Oregon the weekend before the OCIC and took delivery.
For those that are tracking what 928s are going for these days, I paid $10,600.
Here's some pics:
For the fun of it, I took a picture with all three of my cars in the shop - California on the far end, Oregon in the middle and Colorado (timing belt failure) in the foreground. Oddly enough, all my 928s are black while my wife's 928s are different colors.
This is the shop we want to tear down and replace as soon as I can fit it in (in between all the 928 maintenance I have to do!).
I love the car and can't wait to bring it to CA and start driving it regularly (after I gone through it completely). THANKS again, Joey for posting about this car being for sale!!

Damn you are right on the wheels, they are undesirable to say the least.
$10.6k seems like an excellent deal on a 47k mile car in good condition with good records.

Got to ask: how do you have time for 6 sharks?? Sleep 3 hours a day or did you retire recently I'm having trouble making enough time with one as it is. Nice latest addition!

DUDE!
You ARE a MADMAN!!!!
Some people just know what's good and stock up... You are almost to 928 PIMP status!
Congrats on the addition! It's another nice one! The wheels? WHAT you don't dig BLING? At least they aren't spinners...
Are you in some kind of competition with James? I'll bet he's browsing craigslist right now so he can stay ahead....
Now you just need a race car.... Which one will it be? I'm thinking California needs some flares and a cage....

Beautiful car! I'm glad your going to de-"pimp" it by removing those wheels.

Dwayne, you're not well. You need to step back, take a breath and realize what you're doing.
Oh hell, nevermind. We're all living the dream through you .
When you start scooping up all the quality cars from the east coast I hope you leave some for the rest of us.

Fantastic Car!
How much extra headroom can you measure with the sunroof delete? With the SR delete and no rear AC was this originally a euro car?
