Is the band pictured leather?

And is the other band it comes with leather?
What does the other band look like?
How do I buy a watch if I choose to?
Too many pages in this thread, I apologize for the Q's.

I think I can answer all those questions again for you. This thread has really exploded so I can understand not wanting to wade through it all...

1. The band pictured IS leather...VERY NICE LEATHER I might add...
2. The the other band is much like it but no perforations and white stitching, it is black leather.
3. We have not even started taking deposits yet, but that is coming soon! VTC Chris will handle that.

I hope those help!

Many serial numbers (only 100 available) have already been claimed so look a few posts before this one for Chris' email address and let him know if you have a particular number you might like.

James is on the money!

Here is a picture of the Pilot strap that will accompany the watch and the custom pierced leather strap.

I noticed that Laco has other watch bands available in same & similar styles in browns & tan colors. Just thinkin that having the 2nd band in another color other than two black bands provides a variety in a different look to the watch. I guess if its a standard width band they sell, you could always just order another color from Laco.

I love the black band with the red stitching. The black with the white just doesn't look as nice to me as the browns & tans do. But maybe thats just me. Besides, not all of us have 928s with black interiors, some have tan! jk Can't wait!!

Come to think of it, the brown band with the black dial wouldn't work at all. But the tans might if it provided enough contrast. Thinkin if I had a black shark with a tan interior, I'd be buying one of their tan bands, then the watch would match the shark perfectly!

Oh no..... Now I want an extra cork color strap for my cork interior! Hey maybe Paul can make us up some straps with custom laser details too? I'm thinking perf cork leather with petrol blue contrast thread. Then etch the Porsche crest and "Porsche there is no substitute" on the inside of the strap along with my exact vin#..... I think I need see a shrink! But actually, I'm totally serious.

By the way, brown/tan straps look totally fine on black face watches. Check out Panerai, it's done all the time.

Laco has recently discontinued the Tan pilots strap.
Only available in black and the burgundy (oiled brown leather, looks redish)

I noticed on their web site they show these bands in two widths. Should anyone want to ever order one, which width would apply to the 928 custom watch Chris?

I can have custom Tan straps made like the black one.
Same piercing in the leather. Just need a semi large group that wants them so I can have them custom made.
I think the minimum is 25

They would run approximately $39

20mm, but make sure you order the Long length on the pilot strap. If you usually wear a regular length strap, order it long, trust me, the regular size is short.
All Laco's I order, I order with the long strap.
Have sold a lot and have not had a customer complain it's too long.

I have about 10 tan straps from Laco left, after that, no more.
Laco should have some stock, but once they are sold out, that's it for the tan (from what I was told by them)

Paul can, but when is he going to find time to work on your seats

But I have been studying the old world ways of crafting quality watch bands, especially a technique called "art Manual", where there are over 100 steps from raw material to completed band.
I might very well offer a line of exotic bands in the near future. I am making one in Ostrich for my own 928 watch.
