What a spectacular time as always! Great seeing old friends and making new ones. It wasn't quite the same without some of the old regulars - you know who you are.
A HUGE thanks to Dave and Jeannie for their unlimited generosity. This is a big event and they put a lot of time an money into it. If you attened this event (or even thoguht about it) I challenge you to order your next $500 of parts through 928 Specialists. Without them, there is no Sharks In The Mountains.
I'd also like to thank Ernest for bringing me a starter. I still haven't installed it as the car now seems to start (probably heat soak issue), but it does sound like the solenoid is going south. But now that I'm home, I can swap it out without issue.
THe drive in on Friday was tons of fun. We had rain most of the way, but it was a light rain and we were still able to push it pretty hard. Those roads are the best.
Brian's tranny failure was the worst part of the weekend, but really not that big of a deal. At least I had some company in the way home. (Glad it went well with the Mrs.)
Here are a few of my pics from the weekend.

EVeryone's turning left? Isn't this NASCAR country?
Hope everyone makes the next few events, OCIC or HELL and FRENZY!!

Yep. I'm guessing installer error. OR something. Either way, problem's solved, new one is in.
Just have to finish the rest of my tbelt job! Man it is looking quick in comparison! I think I'd rather to a t-belt now than drop the steering rack.

I would like to chime in with both my thanks and admiration for the great event that Dave, Jeanie and everyone who helped put together for us. I know how much trouble that it is make something seem to be smooth, so a big hats off.
If the twins from NJ? or NY? will pm me their email address or actual address, I'll burn a CD with 30-40 images of the backs of their cars through the twisties. Kyle was manning the camera and got lots of good shots. I'll try to edit some of them and post in a bit.
Thanks again to everyone and it was great to finally see some of the faces behind the posts and to thank them for all the help they've been to me since I bought my first one. I couldn't own a 928 without you all.

(Kyle had a great time as well.)

Well, we're back home in Texas after a great time. Thanks Dave and Jeannie for another great event. The trip home was not without incident.
Tried to put the GTS where a Toyota truck was trying to go. Think that will buff out?

Aw SNAP! Jim. Sorry.
I nearly tried to share space with a big Black Escalade the week before coming down to SITM.
Make sure the body shop gets the GTS rear hip profile right. Some sexy complex curves there.
Looks like they spared the wheel and suspension.
Brian of the Box Full of Neutral, you know you can tow the car back home with the Cayenne if she don't get fixed in NC. Talk the missus into a 2 car road trip to the beautiful scenic mountains of NC?

Is this about the time someone says "it'll buff right out". Damn though, Looks like a new fender and door No banging that one out. So sorry to see.
