I had to get my rain jacket, cause uncle Mitch had done stole my coat.

Who knew it would be cold?????

Edit, you got to admit, we are easy to pick out of a crowd.

I'm just glad no one got a pick of me walking around with the bed comforter on that night. Damn it was cold.

Talking Andrew:

Thanks Andrew!
Recall from our talk that they are part of the A.I.R. S4 'upgrade' kit (styled after the 928GTE -google it). Before I hit too many curbs, speedbumps, potholes, etc. with the front spoiler -I wasn't sure about the side skirts. I had to raise the car to prevent further damage and with the arc of the skirts, it looked like my shark was breaking in half in the middle! Now, since I opted to remove the front valence I have lowered the car and they look much better! I think I can use a GT3 splitter that I have under the bumper and get some better cooling aerodynamics and not have nearly the worries I had with the other spoiler. I am also thinking of tweaking the skirts (making them 2 piece like the factory), and perhaps mounting them over the original skirts to get better airflow around the sides & rear tires.

By the way, the front spoiler appears to be the same as the one on Falkenburg's race car...

Here are some cell phone pics with the front spoiler attached & undamaged:

Talking Mel:

Thanks Mel!

The shark fin antenna is a factory BMW 5-series (I think) Navigation Antenna housing that is currently empty. I have the inner antenna (pics below) and it appears to have connections similar to RCA jacks. It should be fairly straight forward to wire up an aftermarket GPS unit (Garmin, TomTom, Blackbird, etc.) and a cinch to use a factory BMW unit & harness.

I have it empty because of a few things... first, the small black antenna box for a satellite radio will fit inside and not detract from the car's appearance. Second, since it is mounted on the hatch... a flexible wire track (small diameter rubber hose, theoretically) that can be sealed against moisture and go between the hatch and body -inside the hatch hinge area- will need to be installed.

Since I currently have neither GPS or satellite radio, I am taking my time... If I work it right, I could possibly splice the satellite radio wiring into the GPS wiring. Hmmmm.... if only I was an electrician or an A/V expert!

Someone who attended last year's event posted a video on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k9JRGQtqCFw). It's on my "favorite" list so I'm hoping one of you guys captured some decent video of this year's event for all to see and wouldn't mind posting it on YouTube. I attended, but only brought along a camera. Had a blast!

Cool Ernest:

Thank you Ernest for that pic of my shark in the pines at Dave & Jeannie's place. It is now no surprise what drew them to the mountains... they go great together!

Jim, that looks bad but it will be a pretty easy fix all up and if the place is good that does the work you won't even know it ever happened! Sorry to see it just the same though! You'll have it back on the road before OCIC though!

As usual I distracted myself and didn't take too many good pictures. I like the color on the one below; it's unique and therefore cool.

As always a damn fine time and this year no one seems to have gotten on the wrong side of the local constabulary - at least as far as I heard - and that's good. Its great to match up Rennlist handles, names, and faces, if even for the short while that my brain will keep them lined up Lots of folks I've "known" in the Internet sense for years and just met face-to-face for the first time this year. Greg (blown87) in particular. He along with Mitch damn near busted my gut on Friday night with the tales of their myriad adventures.

Thanks Dave, I am pretty proud of it. There are a few others, but not many.
