What would make the caution (!) light come on when car stumbles.
I am starting to work on tuning the car after the Megasquirt was installed and am having the Caution light come on when the car stumbles. Now the LJET is all still hooked up, but the injector plugs are not hooked up. I made a separate Fuel injector harness to run the car off of Megasquirt.
What would make the caution light come on when it stumbles?
Thanks,
Oscar

The dash light seem to be working OK. The ( ! ) light on the dash, and the ( ! ) light on the pod both come on. The light stays on until I shut the car off and then it is off. It seems to be happening when the car stumbles hard.

without your car running turn the key to the Run position (not crank) and verify that all the lights are working. One of the lights might be out.
Does anyone have a picture of the early cars instrument cluster showing all the lights on for Oscar?
As well if you push the ! button does the light go out and stay out?

it could be a low voltage warning as if the alternator slows down t00 much the warning light will come on

Oscar would you please post info about your car year model stick auto and any other options.
It could also be the lo oil pressure system, this requires the engine be shut off and restarted
It could be resetting the Bulb Control Module.
Need to know what warning lights are working on your dash

This happened on my stock 86.5 once. I started the car it would idle then want to cut out but would "catch" before completely stopping. All the warning lights would light up when it cut out and then when the car caught they'd got out but the "!" stayed on until I cancelled. This happened about 4 times sequentially and has never occured again. I figured the stall caused the low voltage/oil press warning to flag and the central computer wouldn't automatically clear it.

The (!) for low oil level/pressure can be cancelled if level/pressure goes back to normal, at least on the early system. I discovered this in traffic one day before I upgraded my aux fan.
