It was a vacuum line from intake manifold to brake booster. It has a check valve so the brake booster only get vacuum but turbo boost will apply force against it. Stock pressue is only 12-14 psi. Anything higher should put a clamp to prevent it from flying off under high boost. This remind me to check on the 928 line to the brake booster. I am only boosting 6 psi from a Murf SC.

I know this is coming in way after the fact..................but I just wanted to make a plea for all the older 928's out there to change the fuel lines and injector hoses!!!!

I also have an 84MY, and posted a while back about a injector hose that "sprung a leak" on the passenger side!!!! Thank God no BBQ shark ,but imagine if fuel had been spraying on the drivers side all over the distributor!!!

Now with the Socalgirl injector hose meltdown.............same MY as me an 84.

I think it is a good time to make a point to all my fellow listers, with 70's and 80's MY (still should change on any MY IMO), get in there, pull the injectors and change the lines at the rear of the engine bay the injector hoses.

No more Shark fires please!!!!

That's all I got to say about that.
