Default Pictures/idea of how to ship rear bumper?

I need to ship a rear S4 bumper cover. I need/want it to survive. I think I saw roger once ship a bumper in a wooden crate. Is that required or can cardboard do?

I shipped one with just some clear wrap over bubble wrap, but that was with DHL. Not sure UPS would let you do that. It made it without issue.

928Intl shipped one to me in a large cardboard box and it arrived fine. The bumpers flex quite a bit so I think thick cardboard should be fine.

How about Home Depot/Lowe's and see if they have a freebie water heater box?

That was my thinking also. The water heater boxes are usually very heavy duty. Or maybe an appliance box (frig).

I shipped a large item the other day and double boxed it in that type of corrigated and it ended up really strong. It took about a roll or 2 of tape, but it shipped well.

Its for Todd. I really want it to arrive and survive. Stuff usually gets to Green Bay just fine, I just want to be sure. I would build a box for it like I did the 32V heads, but that would be a very large pine box.

Here's a link to a pic of the one Roger shipped to me in a crate. It arrived in perfect condition shipped via regular LTL freight.

I'll have to check my receipts and see if I have a copy of the freight bill. I shipped it to my work address and had it shipped collect using their discounted rates so it was reasonable. I'm recalling around $70 but I'll verify later if I have a receipt.

I have received rear bumper covers via Greyhound, simply wrapped in bubble wrap. They are very flexible...but I think shipping was @ $100.
