Jim, I have to say that I am truly shocked. Hopefully you will at least show up here from time to time. I always enjoy your sharp wit. Best to you.

I wish you the best in all your endeavors. How long before you get your post count to 11,602? Are you planning to be in Texas for OC?

All the Best Jim.

Sorry to hear about the career change. Come back often and offer some wisdom when you can!

I have appriciated all the help over the years! I lost count of all the projects you helped me with. Many thanks!

Fun bantering with ya as well!

Stay away from Mobil 1, and keep your engine at max HP often!

Best of Luck!

I was working on a buddy's motor over at his house today when he asked if I had heard Jim Bailey had left 928Intl. I immediately dropped one of his prized Snap-On wrenches on the pavement. He understood and didn't complain.

Even though as Brendan said, things like this happen all the time, I'm shocked.

Best wishes to you, Jim.

And if I got a Lifetime membership, you deserve at least two or three.

I can't believe this!! Come home from work, see this thread and am at a loss to comprehend why. You were really 928 Intl. to many of us. I sure hope this was your idea and not a cost cutting action because it certainly doesn't seem like the right move to me.

Kindest regards and the very best to you and the future.

So what's up with the lifetime membership? Is there a collection to get this done for Jim?

When I bought my car 6 years ago the guy I bought it from gave me a pamphlet from 928 int. and said "Always ask for Jim" I called the next day and was blown away from the endless information Jim was giving me. Since then I always enjoyed talking to Jim and hearing his latest story of his road trip or vast knowledge of cars or anything else for that matter.
To me Jim was 928 international and it will be very hard to think of it any other way.

Jim
I think you will find the casting thing very interesting and W/ your experience you will do very well. Just remember it is a lot of waiting around but when the action happens it is fun.
I wish you the very best

From what he knows about the used car market and auctions, etc, I think he will do JUST fine.

The guru is going celluloid? You can get started in this way but we will all anxiously await the premier of Bad Santa and the Very Brown.

Your roots here are deep. Please stick around to slap the newbies around with wisdom, and shame the old folks with long forgotten wisdom.

Good luck!

Well, that sucks. About a year ago I called 928Intl and a young guy answered the phone. At first I thought, Oh a new voice, aka a noob. So I started explaining the clunk noise my car has and the guy's response was "Sir, we are not mechanics here, we are in the parts business". I hung up and called a few days later and this time I got lucky by getting Jim on the phone.

Good luck to you Jim and don't forget us ...

Jim - You helped me with my first waterpump/TB change 10 years ago and saved me countless $$ and time over the years. I'm with the others, you're the reasons I shopped there. Thank you very much and all the best to you and yours.

1/2-price sale in December, 16-year employee leaving... hope this isn't an indicator of something bigger. Just say'n.
