Default NCRC track day Friday Feb 13th $99!!! DAMM RAIN???

http://www.ncracing.org/th090213.php

Myself (widow), Kibort (holbert), Charley (83 Euro) & Paul M (Z06) will all be at the this track day.... I think DennisK (5.0L Screamer) , Jim M (GTS) and Bill Ball () might be there too...... Hard to beat for $99 and we can take passengers-victims.....

It will be interesting to see how much faster Dennis and MK are in the widow compared to me!!!! Assuming the tires are good I think both of those guys could run under 2:05 for sure...... How I find the 10-15 seconds is another story!

2:05? I ran 2:02s with the 5 liter for years! now, 1:59s for sure.
You have RA1s now, and they are always good to the first cord

Hey, I think I might have a scheduling conflict on the 13th. I might have to wait until the buttonwillow race/DE weekend later with NCRC.

you guys have fun and make lots of video!

Matt (Edco) plans on being there also. And then there's the guy from the NW that said he would be coming down.

Charley,

The only thing that will stop me is the weather! We have got a lot of snow this winter in the NW, but that should be done by Feb.

I started the 928 yesterday; these cars sound great with an x-pipe and RMB!

Sweet the more the better!!!! Now that the 2nd canopy is up by the clubhouse there is plenty of shade, but not like we will need it in Feb....but it will be VERY nice in July!

Default Racing schedule for NcRC DE/Time trial/race weekends and days

Here is what I got from NCRC:

We're pleased to announce our 2009 race schedule and pricing. We'll have our usual four race weekends in 2009, but as you can see we've dropped Reno-Fernley in favor of another Thunderhill date.

March 21-22, Thunderhill
June 6-7, Buttonwillow
June 20-21, Thunderhill
Aug 29-30, Thunderhill

All these events will be under $100 per day, for three sessions (practice, qual, race) each day. We've priced these events low in an effort to grow the race group, and would appreciate your forwarding this mail or mentioning ARC racing to your racing friends.

You can register for the first two weekends now, at www.ncracing.org/events.php

We look forward to seeing you at the track this year!

That's a great video Brian. You're improving leaps and bounds. I'm thinking I gave you bad advise, you should have went for your license and got some race time this year.

See you on the 13th if I can get all the work done on the Euro.

I hope you can make it!!!! What do you have left to fix on the euro?

I'm going up Thursday...I think Matt and Steve are too....since the drivers meeting is at 0715!!!!!!! 1st run group is 0800

In theory I still could get my license...assuming the school isn't full BUT..the car is not to a point where it would pass tech to get its logbook....& I don't have the budget to rent a miata for the school ($1500) + pay for the three day school ($620)....I have all the personal safety equipment I need.... At this point I'd rather spend the $$$ on seat time over the next several months....mostly since the boss is still pissed!! So the "spending" will have to be lower profile than a race school...

So its DE for the rest of this year...then race school in 2010 & racing after that..

Front rotors and pads

Timing (detonation)

overheating issue

Passenger belts.

Change gear oil.

I haven't driven it in a week so I'm forgetting a few things I'm sure.

I have a new set of Textar front brake pads..... I bought them for sharky when I thought I was gonna track her more, but since I'm not....I'll just leave the 40% or so pads on for a while....they won't fit on the widow....

You could always take the red 88????

The red '88 is what's keeping me from working on the track car. Chasing down a short of some sort.

I have a set of pagids here, waiting to go on with a set of drilled Zimmermans.
