What other cars have you owned?
What other cars have you owned, including 928s. I always have been fascinated as to what other cars people are into, both past and present. 928 owners seem to be into both American and German machinery.
I'll start...
84 Dodge Shelby Charger 2.2
85 Audi 4000s
88 Audi 5000cs quattro
87 Porsche 928S4
90 Audi Coupe quattro 20v
89 Porsche 928Gt
02 Porsche boxster S
95 Porsche 993 C2
98 Audi A6 quattro 2.8
98 BMW 528i
01 Porsche Boxster
57 Porsche speedster (replica)
04 Dodge Ram Quad cab
87 Porsche 928S4

I'll play. In chronological order, not including the wife's vehicles:
1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 - was actually my parents, but I'll claim it nonetheless, 175 uninspired horses but it looked good
1988 Ford Mustang GT - Torque is good
1994 Ford Probe GT - Very fun car, handled like a go-kart
1995 BMW M3 - Surgically precise handling, very quick, one of my all time favorites
1998 Ford Mustang Cobra - Sweet ride, but suspension was too soft for my taste
1990 Porsche 928GT (#0082) - my first dream car, wonder where it is today
1995 Honda Accord LX - uh, practical
1997 Toyota 4Runner - surprisingly tossable and fun to drive, wouldn't mind having another one someday
1998 BMW M3 - The '95 was so good, decided I had to have another one
1990 Porsche 928GT (#0238) - My dream car in one of my favorite 928 colors
The Honda and Toyota being from 2000-2003, aka "The Dark Years"

Company cars from the Chevy dealer back when they gave service guys demos (!), like '78 Malibus and such.
The 1963 Vette was the best car, the '56 Ford a close second. The 928 would be the best if I fixed all the odd stuff that bothers me (heated seat doesn't work, washers quit). My Falcon Sprint had washers that worked when you squeezed a bulb with your foot - very reliable.

A very short list from me, compared to most posters so far:
'85 Toyota Corolla GT (from 1989 to 1999; believe the U.S. variant, somewhat down on power, was called 'FX-16')
'94 VW Golf VR6 (from 1999 to ?)
'91 Porsche 928 GT (from 2007 to ?)
To put things a little into perspective, we pay roughly 3x the U.S. prices for cars here.
In 1989, the Toyota cost me $18.000 with 50.000 miles on the odo.
In 1999, the Golf VR6 cost me $33.500 with 62.000 miles on the odo.
In 2007, the 928 GT cost me $50.000 with 106.000 miles on the odo.
Absolutely need to get rid of the Golf, as it's way too expensive to have as a 2nd car beside the 928. Must get something much cheaper to run.
Cheers,
Erling
