Default Your Car History

Curious as to when in their car history people acquired their 928. Here is a list of cars I have owned in order of ownership:

1984-1986: 1977 Ford Pinto - died at 68K -well, really, it was always dead
1986-1994: 1984 Honda CRX - Sold at 164K
1996 to present: 1963.5 Ford Galaxie 500
1994-2000: 1993 Honda Civic - Totaled at 125K
2000 to present: 2000 Volkswagen Passat - still own at 58K
2001 to present: 1998 Honda Civic - wife's car currently at 74K
2005 to present: 1964 Ford Falcon Convertible - still own
2006 to present: 1986.5 Porsche 928s - still own

Next car: Probably a couple-year old MazdaSpeed 3 once I unload the VW before its TB job comes due.

This may take a few tries, so many cars compressed into short time:

Chicago, IL Cars:
1990: (16th birthday, 1st car) 1974 Porsche 914, 2.0 Black/Black (Sold to a very pretty woman when I dicovered wheel well rust).

1991: 1966 Porsche 912, Burgundy/Black Had been in storage for two years, owned by a rock concert roadie. Took it to a Porsche place, and he refused to put it on the rack because of so much rust on frame, can't remember who bought t.

1991: 1975 Triumph TR6: Brit racing green, never got it over 35mph! Giant clouds of smoke when started up. Sold to father son who would restore it.

1991: 1979 Triumph TR7: Dumbeest car on the planet, worked for 3 months
1992: 1979 Toyota Supra: Bullet proof 170k mile car. One of the most dependable cars I've ever encountered.
1992: Nissan 300ZX: Remeber buying it, but it makes no sense in timeline...
1993: 1969 Porsche 911E Great car, handled so well.
1993: 1980 Mazda RX-7 Gutted it to make a racing car once I got 944
1993: 1986 Porsche 944, Champagne/Brown: Great car, 0 appeal to girls!

Philadelphia:
1995: Acura Integra: Totally overrated underperforming car.
1997-1999 Carless in School in Philadelphia
1999: 1985 Toyota MR2: Best $1,100 I ever spent, city of Chicago towed and crushed!

Chicago:
2000: 1987 Porsche 944 GP white/brown: Bought from Original owner
2002: Honda Prelude (10 days) Couldn't get comfortable, VTEC cool though.
2002: Audi A6 2.8 (6 months) A four door, what was I thinking?
2003: Mercedes CLK 430: Sold when warranty expired.

Los Angeles:
2005: 32nd birthday, (16 years to the day after my first Porsche) 1981 Porsche 928 GP white/Brown

So 16 cars in 16 years, I don't think I forgot any. Most ridiculous point was as a senior in high school I had two non-running Triumphs and Porsche, the same Triumphs and a Toyota. My dad was a patient man!
