probably B Production a national SCCA class with many , many engine restrictions BUT race rubber.... What Mark is running is a regionaly recognized class for orphaned cars which do not conform to the regular SCCA classes a run what you brung as long as it is on DOT (street) class rubber. Not that there is anything wrong with that It gives too old Speed GT cars etc. a venue until they reach historic classification....

actually, the SCCA wanted a place for the World Challenge cars to run (both GT and touring) . They wanted them to run with us, as a premier sports car class, but didnt want to ruin the grass roots/ true production based class competition. (meaning no factory built race cars, like GT3 cups, viper comp coups) However, any body can make their Viper or 911, to this level, but it takes an amazing amount of work, unless you have a Anderson or Fan 928.

So, the vipers and vets that are street cars first and then modded to a race car, run with us on DOTs. (basically anything goes on a production car on DOTS, non tubed frame) BP is for professional race cars but they also have to run on DOTs

To me, its all the same stuff and i want to beat them too! Ive been pretty lucky beating the panos and a couple of the Comp Coupes. but this weekend, is a couple of faster players and with the new Holbert car, I should be able to keep up, as long as it holds together.

Its pretty ironic how that has turned out for us. We often have 20 cars in our class of ITE, and 45-50 cars in the group. We have races where the lead can be owned by 4 different cars with times for the top 10 with in a second or so. We also have seaon long championship battles that come down to the last race and only a couple of points between the top guys. Right now, its anyones race to the championship with 5 races left in the season. So far, its the best racing of any sportscar class in the country that not pro. SCCA has nothing like this anywhere in the country. And, all this with no real rules! got to love it!

Scot still has a clutch issue. we thought it was the master cylinder. we changed it out, but NOW the car wont go in gear 1st or 2nd. ???????

Jim said that it might be now do to the weak slave cylinder,so we have that on order now . next week.

we have thought about a missaligned intermediate plate, anyone anyone? It has been real grabby when you let out the clutch . I mean it lunges forward no matter how smooth you let it out. So, maybe now with the new clutch master, the problem is worse? doesnt make sense. anyway, we will try the new slave on tuesday and see if that fixes it. then, he will be at the big Laguna event.

I was thinking Sunday but since Monday is a holiday I am going for Monday. However since I am only 10 minutes away from Sears Point/ Infieon I may do both days.

How does that compare to your times in the "stock" Holbert car?

Charley: Sounds good. Leave around 9:30?

Mark: So, with the new pressure plate, still slipping? Probably glazed the disks.

Mark, I can't tell by your post. Was the clutch still slipping with the new pressure plate?
