The S2000 just was getting impatient behind me in the turns, he just made a little error down the carocel and it stepped out as it was compressed. over correction has serious consequences in a turn like that. (ask me how i know
You correct and it just snaps the other direction. If you are quick enough, you can catch it. He went on a pretty wild ride. Glad he made it. He got a tour of the the entire wall, along with a nice whale tail turn down the tire wall at the end!

The camaro was a little too quick on the gas and the Vet had a suspension issue.

Thanks for the videos Mark.

Looks like a lot of pushing in 6, 7 and 11.

Gotta love that start on the first race. Guess the Camero thought there was no need to defend. He won't be so generous from now on.

For sure in the carocel 6. I used more wing for the 2nd race, and it pushed a little more. Probably was the wrong thing to do.

7 and 11, was just me over cooking the turns, and a case of 2004 front tires

I hope this will not be the case at Laguna!

The camaro at the start accused me of jumping the gun, but it sure looked like he started to go before the green, i just was catching up when the green dropped. He also said, "it was obvious at the start you jumped, you cant pull me down the straight !". That was before he knew about the "Motor".

How did the discussion about the motor go? Did any of them know before the first race? Did anybody hear it and comment before-hand?

Nice driving, BTW.

Thanks!

Actually, the Father of the camaro owner, told scot in the hot pits, " so, mark must have put that motor in didnt he?". Scot didnt say anything after watching me nearly outdrag the camaro down the straight.

Laguna will be very very interesting.

Different horses for courses, I know. But I've tested this a lot in my '83 the past few days and my 83C thermostat opens just slightly higher than that, maybe 87C or so. However at that point the temp needle is exactly 1/2 way between the white lines. Once the needle climbs just past the second white line (a needle's width), the electric fan comes on and I'm seeing temps in the 90's in both radiator hoses, and radiator temps in the 70's. This is with the car idling in the driveway of course, so very little airflow.

90C = 194F so the upper line is probably just a bit higher than 190.

Default READ THIS THREAD ON THE S2000 boards!

A bunch of cry babies because now their hero might actually have some fair competition!

Rylan is running 390rwhp and 300lbs lesser weight and recently, has been beating me and others in our group by 1-2 seconds a lap. Heck, he has 100more hp than me!! so, i stick in a stroker to only keep up and they call me the "bastard" "cheater".

Cheating Bastard is a term of endearment. I'd give credit to Doug Hayashi from the NSX & S2000 racer world for first defining the term. His website - nsxfiles.com - is pure racer comedy gold.

"Cheating Bastards are ingenious and clever, ******** are just always ********."

Doug Hayashi's definition of a "Cheating Bastard".

I think this quote drove home the point!:

"I cant even afford switching tires, let alone teams, platforms, even my underwear gets double duty to save water!"

Nawww, I certainly didn't mean it that way.

Its just that Mark slipped into their boisterous, whining post fest, and slayed 'em stealth-like with good arguments about how they spent lots of time and money to super-build the honda, slick, just like he did during the race with the previously-unknown, but somehwat foreshadowed, stroker motor.

GO Mark GO!!!
