Yea.... that's going to be next on my agenda... soldiering a whole new connector on and attempting to duplicate the shielded wire.

The connectors are crimp-on connectors. You can drop a spot of solder on them if you want. From the picture it looks like you may have just enough wire left to strip and crimp-on new connectors without breaching the shielding.

The braided shielding gets twisted around and crimped-on to one of the connectors.

Tip: slip the new boot on to the harness before you crimp the connectors. It's a bit hard if you forget. BTDT

Crap. I just realized that I bought the wrong vacuum splitter at the back of the intake. I have a 7-way brand new and the S4 has a 5-way. I could be wrong but I'm looking at the PET diagram again.

Looks like I gotta get some plugs to seal it if that is the case.

Please tell me I don't need to silicone anything. It's already assembled.

Golf tees work well as vacuum line plugs; cut the fat end off.

Pull the stickers from those hoses man! Unless you're the kinda dude that walks around with the price tag dangling from his ball cap....

It's a little late for the labels. Everything is bolted up.

It's not like you can see it when the oil filler is there and it's in the car. Stupid mistake when working on something so late at night....

LOL Don't you start now...

This sucker will be running tomorrow night. I have 1 lister coming over to lend a hand tomorrow to make sure I don't bind vacuum lines with throttle cables and to help out getting the rails and injectors on faster.

As soon as you have your fuel rails installed and tight, do a fuel pressure test. (Pull the FP relay and bypass it to run the FP.) Check all connections and the top and bottom injector o-rings for leaks.
