Very Very Nice Work! The reflections are clear and the color looks uniform in the pictures. That is definitely high end work, hope to see it in person some day!

A LOT of sanding! He's a body man by trade. I do the mechanical stuff. I built the stroker. I'll post more pics tonight. What else do you want to know?
Thanks for everyone's kind words!

Hammer: Wonderfull Paint Job! What paint vendor did you go with and what color is that considered? I see the cam tower is powder coated are the Exhaust pipes also power coated or are they apart of the hot side componets of a turbo? (The turbo video was funny)

First let me say it looks like a fantabuless color...
And yes, the engine is real sweet to...
According to my eyes, you will have a "bump" or scoop on the hood!?

Very nice attention to detail. Anyone else notice the radiator support that was prepped and painted as well? In the other thread, you mentioned using sikkens base coat, clear, and reducer. Did you use their primers as well? What was the total material cost? And how many labor hours do you think you put in on this?

I'll have to ask my son what primers he used. They weren't Sikkens I know that. From the paint stage on was about $950.00. The primer costs are hard to measure. They were mixed in with other purchases at the time. I bought everything new. Two OE GTS quarters, Strosek front cover & rockers, etc. I bought all new latches, strikers, door checks, S4 headlight assemblies, all of the weatherstrips, new windshield, new fog lights. All mounting bolts & hardware, door hinge bolts, fender mounting bolts, etc. GTS windshield mouldings, belt mouldings, sill plates, emblems. I even bought new bolts for the engine. (the vast majority of the body parts were paid for by the insurance company) I get wholesale price so I was able to get more for less. Hey, I wanted a new car & ya can't buy a 928 new anymore! We also had to modify the rear body panel to accept the GTS rear bumper cover & taillights. Also the front fenders had to be trimmed to accept the Strosek S4 style front cover. I don't know if the site can handle it but if anyone would like to see them I'll post more pics when I get home tonight. (I'm working an 11 hour day today)

Ok, obviously this is involved. Starting with the car before both quarter panels were hit. 86.5 black 928. Here we go............
1. Complete quarter panel removal
2. Modify rear body panel for GTS bumper & lights
3. Trim front fenders to accept front bumper cover
4. Quarter panels installed
5. Note rear bumper dual exhaust cutouts
6. We made stud plates to mount the Strosek rockers. They told me to glue the rockers on - sorry this ain't no ricer!
7. The metal rockers had to be modified to S4 configuration
8. Primer, sand forever, & paint! Easy huh?
