Default '88 S4 project almost finished (pic intensive)

I have been on Rennlist for a long time, and I have never posted pics of my '88 S4. I am almost finished with a long project that started back in October '07 and I thought I would share some pics. The work included an intake refresh (powdercoating), all hoses have been replaced or rebuilt, PKsn'r, TB/WP, rebuilt Bosch 4-hole injectors, rebuilt TT, pre-84 shim/bushing install to stop TBF, complete rebuild of '91 auto transmission, stall increase, Eibach/Boge shock package, and installation of Goodridge braided brake lines.

The body and spoiler were painted a couple years ago (also removed rub strips), the brake calipers were painted red, the rear wiper delete has been done, aero mirrors installed, front clear signal lenses, and the taillights are now all red. BTW, that is the Jager bumper strip installed, not a GTS bumper.

I dont have any interior pics yet, but this car does have a full black leather interior including the pod (one of Paul Champagne's first before his business went public).

Here you go...enjoy

Very nice!!!. The engine bay looks great - as well as the rest of the car.

Congratulations.

Wow...I appreciate the time and effort it took to do this right. I've been doing a TT/Tranny job on mine (along with a few other things) and the urge to drive the thing is too much...I find myself wanting to cut corners on some things just to get it back on the road! Now go out and enjoy it!

I really love the silver look in the engine bay. Also love the all red markers in the rear. The car all around looks fantastic. The only thing I would do different is ditch the add on GTS reflector. And that is just a matter of personal preferance.....never liked that look.

Overall, WOW........Great job. A lot of work went into this car. Now enjoy the reward and drive it like you stole it.

Wow that looks really nice. I've come to the conclusion that the only two cars I like in white are the Testarossa (yeah I grew up in the 80's) and the late model 928. The white really goes well with the cars lines.

Love the engine bay treatment. Did you use a powdercoat or just a high temp paint?

I LOVE IT! Especially all the braided stuff underhood! Hey, if anyone would like to duplicate this project I think the easiest way to do it would be to buy that GTS/S4 (whatever it is) from down in Houston and get on it. At least the rear fenders are already flared and the aero mirrors are in place! Oh, has that nice 5.0L engine in it too! YEA! Anyway, if someone would buy it at least we would not have to see it on Ebay anymore! LOL!

Your car looks AWESOME! How about I send you my '88 and you do that one the same way!

Nicely done! White with rub strip delete! My favorite 928 combo.
