Well She Is Home!

Well She Is Home!
So I know I've been pretty quiet about this whole thing but the time has finally come to reveal the car I bought. As a few of you know Tom had put the Hollywood GT on the market and as soon as I saw it I knew it was what I was after. Of course I had to see the car in person to confirm it's condition which is what I did this past Thursday. Tom was forthcoming about everything and there were no surprises other than good ones! He had the car on a lift for me and I was able to look at everything before making my decision. I sincerely appreciate his patience as I went over it with a fine tooth comb. (I think Tom understands how **** I am now).
Anyways today my son and I made the maiden voyage home from VA to MA and we had a blast. These cars are really amazing in their stock form and I do not plan to change a thing (except maintenance of course ).
The shark performed flawlessly and with exception to two very close calls (blind drivers) the trip was uneventful.
So you all know, the car must have been custom ordered in Marine Blue so my Rennlist name stays!
Here are a couple of pictures taken when I got home. The car is filthy (to my standards) and the restoration will begin tomorrow morning starting with a bath.
I'll post more pics later.

There's dirt on the plastic protecting the floor mats. Afshin will not be sleeping until that's dealt with
Chuck Z? Better watch out. There's a new Sheriff (of clean) in town.

Dave.......not sure I'll live up to Chuck's standards but I definitely have plans for this car!

The buyer saw it on ebay and contacted me after the auction ended. I found that ebay was full of lowballers and people looking for a deal which is fine but I wasn't going to give the car away. I put it on ebay more as a form of advertising. I had over 3000 different hits which is staggering considering it ran for 10 days.

Stock up on Leatherique.
It's the leather clad car, isn't it.
Hope you got a nice paper safe to hide the factory build options sheet.
Does it still have the door panel CD holder?
Glad the car found a great new owner.

Wonder if the 928 crowd would mind if you made good copies of all the paperwork and show the copies in nice plastic laminate and keep the originals in some bank vault somewhere.
928Int'l had/has? the door panel CD holder.
Much more elegant than that Walmarty visor CD sleeve I used.

Very Nice! The pics of the car looked great when it was up for sale. I even had thoughts of selling and buying. Blue is my first choice, black is second, red wasn't even in the top three(but, I couldn't pass up a low mile GT). Looking forward to seeing it at SITM.
