Uh, yea, like everyone else. 22gal recommended. HATE the pipes... Two would be fine or 4 set up as 2 on each side, but I am NOT a fan of the 4 in the middle. Don't like it on the V12 E-types either! Everyone has different taste, but that is not to my liking... Also if you are in CA, pointing them DOWN is a GOOD IDEA as you have at least ONE really fun track and maybe more that have VERY STRINGENT sound requirements and I didn't notice any mufflers along the path of the exhaust gas!

I look forward to your fuel filler set up...

Best,
James

does that mean 12 or 16 would work? I would like to keep the weight down. Every ounce counts

It does have a pair of glasspack style mufflers to tone it down a bit.

Probably won't be enough for you to run Laguna Secca.

To your previous question...OF COURSE ANY amount will work. It is a matter of how long you want to run for before you have to fill up! You are going to get 5-6 mpg so you do the math.

Not to mention, just because you have a 22 gal tank does NOT mean you have to fill it to the brim! If on the other hand you choose to do an enduro, you may NEED the 22! If you have 22 and fill it with 5 who cares! If you need 22 and have 16 you are screwed...

FWIW, I am personally leaning towards liking the central quad tip exhaust...

...but I won't be able to make a final thumbs-up / thumbs-down decision until I hear them.

~~~~~~~~
+1 more on the "22 gal, fill it only enough for each event as required" motion.
I saw the quad tips in person, and they look kinda cool. It is a bit loud, albeit indoors. Have to get a decibel meter.
I added a balance pipe to Louie's X, and it quiets it down a touch, doesn't lose power, and may very well add some. It's also a good spot for the O2 sensor.
BTW: Marty is a cool cat, and really can make a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g he needs/wants for his car.
It was great to meet Ken and am looking forward to working on the tensioner and timing with him. I didn't care for the wheel adapters I came across and need a quick release so I made one. here is the result.
I can make another one. I have about 200.00 into this one and I need the splines from a stock wheel.
Well, mine is very old and different... It was something Mark Anderson figured out way back when. It is a solid (well it seems solid to me) steering column rod and there is kind of a hex head nut welded to the end and that nut has a recess that a spring loaded pin in the hub interacts with to keep the wheel on... I'll try and take a picture of it for you so you can see what I am up against here...
$200 sounds reasonable though...
Will shoot a pic for you this weekend, really busy week! SUCK!
Best,
James
i run the one borla can in the back, and im at 102db at laguna. if i need to run at 101 as we will this next weekend for one or two of our sessions (there are times for different sound levels), I will run a turn down (heater pipe from Home depot) and that drops me to around 99db. If i need to run 93db, then i have to put in a magnaflow muffler near the transaxle. I also can run 90db if i then add another autostore special muffler bolted to the end of the borla. Looks wacky, but it works.
Straight pipes are lightest, and at 108db + it sounds the best
Now that I have the front clip gutted out. I installed my headlight blanks. I used some acrylic covers that Porken had made for his HID Projector kit; backpainted them and used Loctite epoxy to permanently affix them. Love the way it retains the look.
