I like the idea of a rack stop. How is this done? Jim do you sell it?

I spent the day at Louis Ott's shop yesterday. The knowledge gained is invaluable. The oiling system modifications will be the first to achieve and I will post as we do this. The Kirkey seat is mounted and the car was delivered to a friends shop who does custom headers and exhaust. A mandrel bent race exhaust is being installed and I will pick it up mid week. I picked up an 87 up bumper cover for the rear that Louis loaned me. We will be molding an one piece bumper cover and wide quarter panels. ( I will make them available for those who want one) I also purchased a rear sway bar upgrade kit from Ott's as well. I will post pics next week when the car returns.

Did you see Louie's rear fenders when you were there? Might save you some work...

Just use 2 of the factory stop....or you can grind it down to however much steering you need.....only $28 for 2

Straight through exhaust is done. Got a little carried away on the tips. Not sure if I like them yet.

I will be running a 12gal. ATL or Fuel safe top mount cell with a quick fill through the lexan qtr window. The seat was mounted before the exhaust is done. I will finish removing the interior and sound deadener to get ready for the cage to go in next week!

12 gallons is pretty small if your plans are to race in any type of long sprint race or enduro

I am still in the planning stage on the size of the cell. Always open to suggestions.

I like the exhaust....12 gallons does seem pretty small for a 928, especially for a stroker.....I remember Kibort saying he gets 5 ish mpg during race condtions......a stroker would be less..... Would 50-60 miles be enough for the races in your area? Most everyone else runs the 22 gallon cell....

Yeah, about 5mpg for most of the races running 300rwhp. I ran all the speed GT races with 11 gallons on top of what was in the reserve. (i added 11 gallons when the reserve light was on) (just over .5 tank) This was good for all out , 50min. currently, ive been running 7 gallons for the 30min races on top of the reserve light amount.
