I was going to ask where that first pic was taken and based on the building design i though immediately SPAIN. It looks like the palace in Madrid. Then i noticed the plate starts with "S" and thought SPAIN, but i think the European abbreviation for Spain is "ES" for Espania.
Where is that pic taken, any ideas?
The car mentioned sounds cool with yellow piping and stuff, but I can think of more then a few colors i would like more on a 928 then Speed Yellow. Dosent seem fitting for the car at all. Still its pretty damn rare!

This car has an old, pre-Euro license plate without the blue area that the other car shows. The letter(s) in the first block indicate the city or county in which the car is registered. "S" stands for Stuttgart, "CUX" for Cuxhafen.
The second yellow car must have been in an accident at some time. I don't think it was yellow originally, the panel gaps are not consistent, and there are runs in the paint. My guess: Someone fixed it up for cheap as a daily driver... not exactly German quality you would expect.
Here is another yellow one, but not a GTS:

I know exactly where this yellow GTS is and who owns it. I also know exactly who will end up with it IF it ever is available for sale (not me unless I buy it from that person......). Out of respect for that persons relationship with the current owner I will not pursue the car.
The car has been seen b/f at several area PCA concours events in the past (as a spectator).
BTW, it has been rumored that there was another yellow 95 GTS in Northern CA which had been wrecked (totaled) and according to the person I spoke with it WAS a 5-speed. Was unable to get any additional info........

That's definitely not texas in the background and those are what appear to be Arabic numerals on the plates. Perhaps Saudi Arabia. I can't quite make out the name at the top. G

I've been in Houston a long time (too long) and have never seen it, but then Houston is a huge city. Also it might be like my car, and doesn't get driven very often. I'll keep my eyes out for it.
Troy, what area of town did you see it, west side?

IIRR Spain is S and Sweden is SWE. Finland is definitelly FIN. SF was used before but it was confucing to some foreigners as our native language country name Suomi isn't too well known. Also some people thought it meant Soviet Finland while Soviet Union still existed even though use of SF was probably older idea than Soviet Union.

hey Don - yes, it was on the west side. San Felipe/Briar Forest and just east of Highway 6. Like I mentioned, I drove home that way for at least a year (probably more) and only saw it the one time (when I didn't realize how rare it was).
