Post #6 in this thread suggests this car is an auto, and post #20 from Chuck seems to confirm it.

I smell Photshop......

Yellow GTS still does't exist unless its got James' babes wrapped around
it, cover page on his calendar and a front row spot in his museum.

LMFAO!!! That is tooooo funny Chuck!

Michael, it is an Auto with full rootwood interior IIRC. I saw the car back in 2002 or so. Pretty awesome car! Black leather with yellow piping and yellow Cup II wheels! SA-WEET! Had about 27k miles on it back then I think.

One issue with Michael's post... if it had 20 something k miles on it when James saw it in Austin in 2002, I have trouble believing it still has 20 something k miles now considering how often it has been spotted.

You guys are having less luck getting a picture of this car than those hunting Sasquatch.

I believe it is now approaching 40K miles. I ordered a carfax on it last year, and I believe the last mileage recording was 36K miles.

According to 928registry, it had 22K miles in 2004.

RR, that 928Registry entry corresponds to what I saw in '01 (or '02, '03???) or is very close, so I buy that number. Agree it is likely a 40k mile car now, considering how often a 928 guy has seen it and reported on it. It sure was a beauty when I saw it! Needed a SERIOUS detailing, but you could see how awesome it was under the general lack of caring about its current cleanliness.

Default Another pic

Another blurry cell phone photo of this car from our spies in Katy, TX. At least you can see the painted wheels. Thanks goes to Tony and Tony's sons.

The car has also been spotted recently in for service at the west side Porsche dealership. I guess Hanns is still there, so probably one of the few dealerships that will still work on 928s.
