For the DFW area sharksters, there's a place down the street from Zim's in Bedford that copies 928 keys for $50. Mr. Lock, Inc., 1820 Reliance Pkwy., Ste# 500, Bedford, TX 76021, 817-267-8022, www.MrLock.com.

I had a key made by Scott at Sharktoberfest. Since I have had a number of keys made elsewhere that did not work I talked to him about it while he was working on mine. I got the impression that 1) making keys is his primary job at 928, and 2) he pretty much only makes keys for 928s 3) he takes it pretty seriously, and 4) he may now be the worlds foremost expert in 928 keys. I wish I could remember some of the things he said in more detail because it was pretty interesting....stuff about which tumblers are most critical, which angles are the hardest to get right, what the most common mistakes are etc.
So, my recomendation would be overnight your key to him and insure it for more than the cost of a replacement set of locks. An alternative which would still be less work and money than a conplete re-key would be to pull out your ignition lock and send it and the key to Scott.

Brandt Locksmiths at 224 W. 85th St. Kansas City, Mo (816) 444-3233 cut my (6) 928 keys and they all worked perfectly. I bought the blanks on ebay and had them cut by Brandt because I thought the keys were no longer available, but Brandt also had there own blanks. Hope this helps someone. Rick
