This is something that I wanted to get done last summer as one of my hoses is leaking as well. Nice write up now I at least have a guide.

Now for the bling factor I would love to replace the PS res with one of these but Lindsey no longer carrys the AL res. Anyone know if there is someone out there that still carries the AL one?

I purchased the hose from NAPA Auto Parts. It's called Weatherhead. I don't believe it needs to be rated for a certain pressure since it is on the return side of the PS system - not the pressure side. Weatherhead is a stout hose and is probably overkill for this application but I like the hose and I believe it will last a very long time. It costs about $5 a foot. THANKS for the question!

What car is this work being done on?

Your sig indicates an '84, but that can't be right.

Great job Dwayne.

How about some pictures of the '88, or did I miss the thread?

Jim's right. I haven't cleaned it yet for a glamour photo shoot - been too busy fixing a few things (as evidenced in the posts) and having too much fun getting to know the S4 model - under the hood. But I did take some pictures of it's arrival here and I'll post those directly along with some details....

Dwayne: Congrats on the new addition. Considering how fast (and clean) you work, we should see those pictures soon enough.

'bin said already but I'll say it again.

Dwayne, the clarity of your descriptions and posts is exemplary. I wish I could get halfway close. Have you considered a career as a technical author ?

And please don't keep posting photos of such clean engine bays, I'm getting a complex.

Great write up Dwayne and congrats on the new car.

Did you flush the pwr steering system and are you replacing the reservoir soon?
