Dennis:

Unless we hear the World is going to end before the 22nd, let's go with that date and I'll get the word out. Anyone interested should continue to reply here so we can get a count.

Hey folks.

If the karting is later in the afternoon, I think I can make it.

Question... I may need to be dropped off as we'll be on our way back from the Paso Robles / SLO area. Any chance for a ride home if I get dropped off. I live in Walnut Creek, not too far off the I680 freeway.

Thanks in advance.

SLO ?? I always thought you were a FAST person

I could maybe swing out of Concord out 24 and down 13.

OK.

Saturday! Saturday! Saturday! March 22nd!
One night only!
It's the Fracas in Fremont!
Work out all your road rage issues in one therapeutic 30 minute session!
You only need a lead foot and a cement head!
Bring your friends & family. We'll give them the whole seat but they'll only need the edge!

I'll give Lemans Karting a call tomorrow. I'm going to go w/ Bill's suggestion of 4pm. I think that's about when we've scheduled it in the past, and it seems to work well w/ getting pizza afterwards.

Those guys in Tampa are nuts, eating before they kart.

If you tell the LeMans guys that we are the group with the Swedish guy by the name of "Anders", they'll probably remember us... Anders is famous there, so I hear.

Let me know, and I'll be happy to set-up the reservation with the Pizza place we've been using in the past (or another one, if anyone sees reason to switch).

Ok. Track is reserved.

Time:
March 22, 2008
4:00 PM

Location:
LeMans Karting
45957 Hotchkiss Street
Fremont, CA 94539
Phone: (510) 770-9001
Toll Free: (877) Race-LMK

Website w/ directions:
http://www.lemanskarting.com/

Details:
I've signed us up for the combo race which is a 10 min. practice session, followed by a 4 min. qualifying session, followed immediately by a 15 min. race. Cost is $60.

We should probably be there by 3:15 PM to go through registration, change into kart suits, find appropriately non-funky helmet, etc. I think they make first-timers watch a short video which will explain things like: green flag mean go, yellow does not mean put it to the floor, don't hit others (HA!).

Lemans Karting provides helmets and suits. Of course if you have these items, bring them.

Afterwards we'll go to a nearby pizza place (Nicole, I trust your judgement) where we can bench race and describe in excruciating (Kibort-ian?) detail exactly why each one of should have won.

Reply to this thread or PM me if you have any questions.
