6.0 is 400 crank, and I'm guessing they weigh a bit more. You stage I or II?

So would you say it was even or were you pulling away from him?

We made a right turn onto a 2 lane road, I was behind him he floored it coming out of the turn, as did I. I changed lanes and passed him, and was pulling away. He backed off after I passed

Listen, bottom line is there are very few stock cars out there, new or otherwise that can challenge a supercharged 928. It really is that simple. The average one will do mid to low twelves on low boost, intercool ,go to 10-12 psi and you are in the 11's with DOT's. The sc 928 has the advantage of pulling from any gear at any speed effortlessly and with brute force, where other cars have to get in their sweet-spots. Let's not forget that most of the sc 928's are running 2.20 gears. Imagine if these sc 928's had the advantage of ,say, a 3.73 or a more streetable 3.55. They would prolly hit the 10's easy.

I think Murf's 556whp 5 speed ran an 11.7 using slicks......but the "wifes" car in an 2.20 auto ran 12.1 with the old 440ish whp....its gotta be in the 11's now with 510+whp

Brian, I haven't heard from Murf in a while, but what you said is prolly true. His 5-speed should do better than 11.7 with the slicks especially. I would imagine that car is capable of a high 10. He was either easin' that baby down the track or he can't shift gears, but the Murf I know can prolly shift as fast as an auto. I'd like to get a set of those Shark-tuned chips of his so I can get that POS vortech FMU off my shark! With that FMU and 30# injectors full throttle emits a burst of black smoke that'd make my deisel jealous. Loads up in traffic as well. When are you SC'ing????

I'm highly skeptical of that.
At what MPH? The MPH is telling for the car's E/T potential. It takes an incredible amount of HP at the launch to hit 10s w/ a high trap like 130. These cars are not dragsters. And it must be done at a REAL 1/4 mile track.

11.499@132.59mph, no slicks on the car. That was with the 556rwhp, FMU, 30lb injectors and stock chips configuration that was on the car back over three years ago already.

That time was done with the 440ish rwhp stage-2 configuration. The 510 rwhp is what it made before the current setup, so it's making more power than that 510 too now.

The fact that most 928 have a 2.20 rear end ratio is a little misleading. Yes, the diff. ratio is 2.20 but if you look at the actual ratio through the transmission it’s much higher. I can’t remember what the actual numbers are but it’s not as bad as if, for example a Ford/Chevy with a 2.20.
