Andrew's 91GT Engine Thread

Its been a while and i honselty cant recall the price but it was actaully pretty cheap. I may have posted the price in a thread somewhere? Cool thing is...those dimensions are stored on a disc. Zero out the lathe and push a button and it replicated.....16 times. The tops have since been ceramic coated.
Somebody has been left unattended to play with the toys at work again. That must be a fun place to mess around with your own projects. The next thing you know, the car will be equipped to take off with less than 200 feet of runway.

After looking at your heads, a decent machine shop can weld the spots you need, resurface the mating area, and you can put it together with a stock or cometic gasket. If you get **** about the mating surfaces then the cometic will not give you problems because everything will be cleaned up, just follow the advice of the cometic Gods.

I'm still paying attention. Especially since I have to go through this pretty soon on my hashed GT engine. I have completely ignored the thread about the new gir....

Quick update... heads are supposed to be done sometime around Christmas. The new HG's arrived today (haven't seen them yet). Everything is pretty much done except the AC lines and comrpessor - still trying to figure out what I want to do there.
BTW, if you need something to clean and de-grease the engine bay, Kerosene so far is the hands-down winner! Stinks a bit, but you cannot beat it for cutting through all the grime.

Even better add about 5% dishwashing liquid to the kero. makes it coagulate a little keeping it in place longer and also means less of the kero flavour is left behind on rinsing.

Try diesel, it's less combustible than kerosine and it won't evaporate either. You can soak the grime with it, let it sit for a while and it won't dry out.
