Default 4 Hours, Laguna Seca, and you: October 26 - 28

On October 28th there will be a 4 hour endurance race at Laguna Seca. Ken Osage and I have entered our 928's in this event and have recruited Mark Kibort, Dick Pierson, and Ken Olson to drive with us.

We're asking the 928 community to come to our assistance.

The purpose of this event is to raise money for the United Way and we're asking the Rennlist community to make a per lap pledge. 100% of the pledges go to the United Way. In addition each donor will have the option to direct their donation to their local United Way.

Special Thanks go out to Carl Fausett with 928MotorSports, Mark Anderson with 928Intl, and the Rennlist folks for stepping up and offering their support. I can't thank them enough - it's for a great cause.

I've never been the type of person to ask anyone for help and it would have been easy simply to go to Laguna Seca, have a good time, and race, but I'm very passionate about this cause.

Also for the International guys - visit the website and email me. There's a way that you can participate too.

Rather than ramble on - We've created a website that has all the details and more and I'll be providing updates daily.

Help us make this event something more than a race!

BTW - Did I mention that we'll put EVERY donors name on the race cars?

Thanks,

Chuck Briggs

That depends on Mark Kibort... I'm planning on driving VERY fast.. Acutally - I would estimate 100 to 120... but I'm going to post an on-line contest to let the donors guess. How many laps, the fastest lap, the slowest lap -

Time to get back to work on the car.... a little sympathy here.. 3 wheel bearings to replace!

I've added a poll on the website to try and determine if there's any interest in a Live Streaming Webcast using a single camera of the race. The camera would probably be at the highest activity point on the track - the Andretti Hairpin.

Please take the poll - give me some feedback to see if this is worth pursuing...

Commerative Shirts and Hats are now available. Visit www.nwracersgroup.com and click on Commerative items. Proceeds go towards the United Way.

Porsche 928 parts are also available via Ebay. See the website for details.

The 928's are making the news! Details coming soon.

Also - Dave Conover has created posters for some 24 Hours of Daytona teams and has created a Commerative Porsch 928 Race Poster for this event. Watch the website for details... This one is a work of art!

Thanks for your support!

No - Only the person fueling requires the firesuit - so the drivers can do the fueling. Just long sleeve shirts, no sandles.. etc.. Ken Kilmer and his son are coming down from Seattle...

Am I the only one that is interesting in getting some cool 928 stuff at a great price?

As much as I hate to invite bidders against me, take a look guys, you may see a good bargain to bid on.
