Here are a couple of shots from the paddock. also, the poor 911 that went into the wall at turn 4. I have the last few seconds on video, but its all dust. It was Jeff Gamroth from Portland who was one of the faster 911s out there. Chuck, you should know him from the Pac NW region. bummer.
anyway, here is our pit. we camped out , and had a pretty good time!
it comes down to the wire for the last race of the season at the end of oct
oh, who said vipers are not tubed framed!! (a bunch of tubes with a tube attached to it )
check it out.

I recognize a few of the cars.... especially the 928's... Actually remember the #23 911 from the Nationals this summer..
But we are going to have to teach you guys about setting up your pit...

Wow, looks like there was a lot of carnage out there this weekend. Reminds you that any race when you can come home with the car intact is a good race. Congratulations on the lap times too.

That's my barometer! driving the car home is a good thing, and has been for 6 years now! (90races)
most of the carnage was self inflicted. there was an incident involving the new guys, the red porsche who ended up crashing badly in the last race, where the VW, camaro, and porsche along with a lapped car (camaro) all got tangled up at turn 10. the camaro was hit so hard, it busted his steering knuckle! he found one and had it driven out from san jose and completed the repair before the next qualifying. These then become results of low percentage pass attempts. This all compounded by the fact that all of us were in the same 1/2 second range of times.
I think there were 10 cars in the 1:39 range. I dont like coming in 5th, but when its great racing and the better car finishes ahead, its not a big deal in my book. (as long as the old dog is still running 1:39 and gets a best 1:38.9 time, i have NO complaints!) I think this was race day number 91 for the ole' Holbert machine! Man, it has taken a lot of abuse!

So Ken Osage took his car to the Dyno today.. Not too bad... 298rwhp... I'm trying to get the sheets so I can post them... All the numbers looked pretty impressive.. might have to borrow his setup when he's not looking..

I hear Mark A and Joe F are coming up to race at Laguna on October 26 and 27. How many 928s will be racing? Do we have a thread started on that? I will be there on Saturday the 27th and will alert the locals.

There's a possibility of six. Our two, two from the NW and Mark and Joe. Although I think Kibort mentioned Anderson might race POC at Sears point that weekend.
I'd love to see all six at Laguna.
