Post Front and Rear Seats FS - 89S4

Sorry I have to put this here, but I don't think many people are looking at my ad in the classifieds, and the last pair of seats on Ebay for a Porsche did not even get a bid.
I have a like-new interior that I am trying to change a bit. I am selling my front Tan leather seats, as well as my rear seats. The Air conditioning unit and all surrounding pieces are also for sale. All are in very good condition. I have pictures available.

Again, sorry for posting this here, but I need some air-time...

Can you post a picture? Are they the tan or light grey seats?

Okay, I'm gonna try this.
Look at both pictures, because the front seat picture actually gives you a better idea of the color.

Just click on them, as I have not gotten them to show here. <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" />
Hope that helps,

Question

What are you asking for the seats? Have they been re-dyed or are the original.

Thanks

Thumbs up

Brendan I didn't realize you were going to change your interior a bit? What're you gonna do?

K

P.S. Someone just contacted me about my 928. Suddenly protective, I have a big lump in my throat.

SHunter - The seats have not been redyed. They are original, but in very good condition.
I am asking 1k for the fronts, and 300 for the rear. There is also a negotiable deal with the rear AC stuff, piping, and vinyl around the rear seats (not rear quarters)....

Kaz - I knew you would have issues. You have to bit the bullit, and sell the car. You have a great 928S4, but you need to concentrate ona few other things right now. Refocus, save some money, and then start looking for a very nice 89, or maybe a GT. I think with the 5spd, it would make you very happy. The autos are very good. They have thier merrits. But you have been in the car with me. It is FUN.
Take the payment from the 928, and add to it (make it maybe 400 a month?) and sock it away waiting for the perfect S4 or GT. All the while, enjoy the Audi. Make sure you show up for the 928 gatherings though. I want to see that Audi in action!

AHunter - if you have any other questions, please feel free to email me at:

So, Brendan, I'll echo Kaz's question - what ARE you doing to your interior?

This is just one stage in my quest for "my" car. I will not change the exterior more than, say, a fiber rear wing, aero mirrors, and maybe a front chin spoiler (only if it doesn't look "ghetto")
The interior, however, is going to recieve an extensive, but subtle, change. I am removeing the rear and front seats (when I sell them, maybe before), and I will be going through the car to take out any unneeded items. The rear AC is going, as are the rear seat vinyl surrounds. The rear quarters are staying. When I have everything out, I will systematically remove all the carpet, redo the wiring to remove the unneeded looms (no power seats, no AC in the rear), and take out most of the sound deadening. I will then replace that with a dynomat substitute (but with no asphalt - it smells), and recover certain places with carpet or mats. The Club Sport 928 has 200lbs removed JUST with no power seats, no rear sun visors, no rear AC, and certain sound deadening materials removed. I will keep my radio and subwoofers, so that when I do go on track (after I dry sump this spring/summer) that a track car C have a sound system. This car will STAY a daily driver. I also have plans for the center console that include gauges where the ash tray is (for the supercharger and oil/trans temps) and something else where the clock and rear AC controls are.

Hows that?

Sounds very intriguing, Mr. Bond.

What, no rocket boosters?

I have removed most of the rar seats and surround, if anybody wanted any more info on the condition - which is still as it was. I had a bit of difficulty with the bottom portions that were glued - they may have been reglued recently. Boy - that sound insulation is heavy, too.
They are in San Diego, but I can take more pictures if need be.
Anyone in inSane Diego have a digicamera that I could drive to you and borrow for a few moments?

Thanks,

If anybody is still reading this thread - is there a way to remove the glue and foam from the paint under the back seats without removing the actual PAINT?

Thanks,
