Ah well depends what you mean.. 55/60W are fine choices - with H4's you get much better lighting than H5's. Once you get to aftermarket bulbs there are all sort of choices. I know some run 80/100W (Bill I think?) personally I run supposedly 55W/100W (though I'd say they are more like 55W/85W in practice).

BTW I said:
So Adam you will need to source some metric nuts - 2 studs per pivot (4 total) M5? or M6? and SS Nylocks work well in this application.
I should have said - total 4 PER SIDE (8 grand total).

And I should have put those on the list too

Adam: I got mine from a private party trade. They were not new. So what I got would not reflect what Porsche or our vendors might provide. The nuts that Alan mentioned are standard M6. I used Nylock.

Yeah, I've been running 80/100 for 5 years. They are standard H4 Hella bulbs intended for offroad use from my local autoparts store. Not expensive.

Just looking to finish up my H4 shopping list. Got all the big stuff at Sharktoberfest, now need to get the little stuff which is basically the switch in the cab.

In looking at the PET, it looks like I need:
928 613 146 00 Potentiometer
928 613 148 00 Rotary ****
900 034 013 02 Hexagon nut

What are the references to "01c" black and "03" rose? Are these references to the color of the ****, and if I order just part no. 41, does it include the **** since it appears to be bracketed in the PET?

Alan, it looks like your #6 may be just the **** and not the potentiometer?

Thanks for any input. If DR or Mark can confirm availability of these parts stateside, it would be greatly appreciated.

Of course on your list you need:
1) 928 624 163 00 motor X2
2) 928 631 106 00 adapter X2 (is this the motor plug/pigtail ?)
3) 928 624 165 00 sealing ring X2
4) 928 631 215 00 lock ring X2
5) 928 631 101 03 H4 Euro Headlight/seal X2
6) 928.631.223.02 Switch/Potentiometer X1
7) Generic H4 Headlight socket x2 (get the ceramic ones if you can)

+
8) 928 ??? ??? ?? Switch/Potentiometer socket X1
9) Flex 3 conductor wire loom*

*Can be as small as 18 AWG - very low power - you will probably need about 25'

Adam - thats the wrong PET diagram - its for the hydraulic system... unfortunately there doesn't appear to be a correct diagram for the control part of the electrical diagram...

The #6 part number is correct I believe - I have some photos:

Pretty sure the **** only comes in black except for special leather versions...

I think "rose" relates to the surround with the 0, 1, 2, 3 detent positions marked on it

Actually having looked again - its just one stud per pivot so a pair of nylock nuts/washers per headlight.

Is there any chance that the part number on the underside of the switch is just for the bezel? The price on that part # is around $8, is just seems too cheap for the entire switch. I guess I'll just have to go for it and see what shows up.

Adam - I pulled the **** (black as pictured)

# is 928.615.148.00

Getting to the potentiometer is harder - need to remove the handbrake cover - can't see getting to that anytime soon - Bill do you have one out of the car --- weren't you collecting parts?
