those Nigerians sure have some great deals dont they?

Usually you can buy a car cheap and even on top of that, they send you like 1 Million dollars and only want you to write them a check back for like 100,000. Dude thats 900,000 just for nothing. I love those deals!

That's right, it's Thursday. That means he started his weekend bender yesterday.

Watch for it on eBay from Low next month for $40 K.

Ah, capitalism at its finest!

Is this the "928 give-away" thread?

Unbelievable...

So it's really Randy Minderbinder, then?

(sort of a literary reference there)

It was a JOKE!

Not to say that Drew & Bill were incorrect in their assessment...

You see, if Randy was playing hard ball, this thread would have been closed and disappeared back when he made the offer. A price like this is chum in the water to a bunch of sharks. Scary.

I am waiting to hear back, my cash offer is still there, and I have offered a couple of trade-in options. My 89 S4 is a bit too pricey for his needs, so I offered my 84 at a lower trade-in price.

The sale is not complete yet. As usual, things are always not as easy as aticipated.
Thanks for all the replies. Seems like my $15k offer was a bit low, but that's what it'll be....

Stan was first to come up with $15k cash or a trade for $8k and his '89 S4 5speed, which is without intake at present. I wanted to do $10k plus the '89.

Drewster offered me $10k and his track car.

So I really need $10k to put towards my next daily driver and I really want a track car...

Stan was first, but Andrews offer would just perfectly fit my bill. What a mess.

I am hoping for some scenario where I end up with the track car. At this point that would mean that Stan is OK to let Andrew make the deal and he buys the other GT that just showed up. Or that Andrew sells his track car to me for $5k.

I just don't want anyone to be upset at the end of this deal. So before this goes south on me I'll just let the car go for $15k to Stan and call it a day.

Anyone has a track car for $5k?

I want to close the deal today.

My 89 S4 with 5 speed and LSD is simply in the middle of maintenance that includes powder coated intake and cam covers, water pump, timing belt, spark plugs wires, plugs, distributor caps, etc. etc. When I started it was a running car with some minor issues, I decided to deal with everthing possible at once, so also have a rebuilt MAF, computer reviewed by Rich Andrade, etc etc. It was more than a $5k car when I started and clearly will be more like a $10k with just the maintenance done. I also have a replacement interior for it, but as we discussed that needn't be included.

While it is difficult to have the "right deal" for me and now understand I am "the guy" causing a different deal to happen. I can't let the 89 go for $5k, that would be like Drewster getting $2k for his 85 in trade.

There are other options out there that I have suggested, but if it isn't meant to be, then I will move on. I would still be happy to pay the $15k cash, but it seems this isn't desired.
