Default popup headlight delete

i decided to ditch the popup lights in an effort to save weight for the track car - here is the result. im using the 50mm hella lamps like porken only these are not updated to HID. the beam is definitely fine for driving around town.

not bad looking. although, it gives the eyes a puffiness, like the 928 is stoned or has been drinking

car looks great ! almost too nice to be tracking!

Not bad... It'll take some time to get used to that look. How did you make the black surround?

That resembles a car in the movies where the headlights turn to guns. But I like it, it's intimidating and makes others show respect. And it is fairly unique, which when done in good taste, is always a plus.

Did you use Porken's Frames or did you make some yourself?

Very cool, I'd like it better if the black were body color.

Super cool! The fit and finish are excellent. It looks really, really well done and incredibly, suits the car perfectly.

Do tells us how you fabbed the surrounds. Vacuum formed?

Right now, no...I don't like it.

The car has a look of surprise, as if it's eyebrows are raised. I guess I will have to study it for a bit. The rest of your car of course is a beauty. I would still paint the hood louvers body color. JMHO

Love the color of your car too - but you really need to add some teeth to make it look mean and intimidating...... at least get rid of the smile..

i had a local guy named kannon here in the uk make them up for me. he does a lot of custom car work and they are made in fibreglass, much better than anything i could have made myself - i just gave the raw materials and the concept.

i agree that the original popup lights are difficult to better and i wouldnt say these are all that but i really do quite like them - at least for a (wanabe) track car.

Hi Nick,

Nice execution of your idea. They best most other pop up headlight delete options explored by others and still keeping a light source up front. Very finished look to them and they go in well with the rest of the modifications.

Cool C-fiber sunroof panel too!

Cheers,
Constantine
