Seems like there are an awful lot of November birthdays...or we're just the ones speaking up???
And to answer Larry's question...I'll be 39. And plan to stay that way for a looooong time.

John S. I am well aware how different you are as the only sober one in the crowd. When I was at SAC HQ and went out on an inspection (er Staff Assistance Visit) the rest of the crowd were amazed that I didn't even belong to the club.
Concerning the 2 wheelers, I never graduated from Cushman Eagles. Actually I sold mine to a Shriner about ten years ago.
Ron. Drunken Judge? Are you from Tulsa also? Thought we had all of them here. <img src="graemlins/cussing.gif" border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" />
Is anyone keeping a record of al the ages? How about corrolating with the age of their 928's?

Got to ride in my first Porsche, shortly after my dad bought the '56, when it and I were 7. Never could seem to connect with the "right" crowd, as there was never another Porsche I was able to take a ride in. I liked the looks of the early 911 and 912 Targa's, could never afford one. The 914's were interesting, and until a couple years ago, didn't even know there were 914-6's! 924's did nothing for me, 944's eventually had some looks. Yes, I saw Risky Business, but that image didn't stick with me. Liked the looks of the slant nosed Porsches also. Ridiculously pricey though!
I had already lusted after a 928, because here was a Porsche, with a Porsche built V-8!
I am 46, back in August, BTW.
Never went the MX route, couldn't afford it, just enjoyed the off-road trail riding. I still have the '72 Suzuki TM400 I traded for, in '75, but most enjoy the Rickman 125 I have. I have 28 bikes now, and I cannot even think of how many bikes I've had before. Easily over 100, I think.
My wif bought me our '87 928 S4, in May of '01. It had 69,591 on it when we picked it up, it now has 85,864 on the odometer.
AND, I have put less than $3k in parts into the car!!! I have been extremely lucky, as far as the parts $$$$ drain is concerned!
And it just keeps on getting better! <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[burnout]" />
When is the next event?!!!??

Susan, You guy's have a catalog?
I always refer posters to 928 Int'l for prices. It's the lack of other reference catalogs.
GoRideSnow,
They used to put the open class, i25's on up to i85's all in the same heats and races.
Was humiliated and mortified by those little scoots blowing by on the outside of a turn and my reference to ballistic arcs was caused by trying to make up the lost ground on straights, jumps, and whoops.
Felt better when I learned to lay my Maico over, and do a Mert Lawill thru the apex - feet on the pegs though - this is when the smaller bikes discovered, irregardless of make, that they had a new name...TRACTION!
Rich do they still make them? I'd like a big enduro.
We used to launch sooooo fast that we figured we fouled - never stop in the first turn to see what happened -. Would launch rocks the size of of a big loaf of bread. This is a solid endorsement for ye olde Jofa chest protectors. Dismounted many of the unwary.
Larry,
Fear not! Enroll them in the R.O.T.C. College Program. Not only pays for the education but they have a job waiting -obligation- after graduation. By the time they get out (4 to 6 years active reserve officers) they will have saved some money, traveled the world -cheap-,
don't mumble anymore, and you don't worry so much about them. They are healthy, capeable, thinking adults. Spend your cash on you!
Shane,
Same story.
You will be 48 when that heathen asks for the 928 keys. Get ready.
Greg,
Max is down in the South Padre Zone.
Donald isn't that far away either.
And there is the Wolfs Lair group up in Austin.
Why drive to Dallas unless you want to see the Boy's getting whupped at home?
Norm,
Other toy's...
Couple of Mooney's hanging around Midland doing touch and goes.
Never realized they were that stable at low speed in high cross winds.
Jessa,
George has done to our grants what he did for Midland, Texas, and now the whole country.
screwed things up.
How about a memorial brick in the patio walkway leading to my garage...er...St. John's Home for Eldery and Wayward 928's -and riding lawnmowers-.

I am 18 an just got rid of my 951.
My girlfriend (actually Fiance!!!!) owned two Boxsters before she was 19 (1997 and 2001).
No, we are far from rich. We're just crazed Porsche enthusiasts who don't mind working our a$$ess off to pay the bill and the LARGE insurance bills.
Sorry if I sound stuck up, but I just never want to drive another car besides a Porsche.

Well, let's put it just over the 40 mark on average... as I'm 42 and just bought my first Porsche in September after dreaming about them for years. It is hard to believe how time flys but I once subscribed to VW/Porsche mag back in my teens. B.
