low flyin' birds (windshield replacement - RV)
Took the car up to the city yesterday for a business meet I had to attend ~ 500kms. On the return trip while 'cruising' at warp factor 3 I was attacked by a suicidal bird who targeted the passenger side windshield.
What a friggin' mess..............didn't want to use the wipers for fear of spreading the remnance I drove the remainder of the trip somewhat blinded.
My windshield is now further damaged to the point where I'll have to replace it very soon..........any recommendations in Western Canada/USA?
TIA

Malcom, go to Speedy auto glass,
if you dont want the antenna I have had new glass installed for $400
if you need the antenna, well then I would recommend going through insurance.

Because the 928 was my first vehicular love, but I couldn't buy the one I wanted so I got it's little brother.
But now I'm looking at restoring the one I wanted originally..full circle eh?
In case you were wondering, the screws would be for the '44

At the conclusion of the driving season last year I had phoned a number of shops in Calgary for replacement windshield. The only shop I found that would get one in was Crystal Glass (glass from Germany).
Price - $ 1,800 Canadian Buckaroos.
If you source one please let me know.
