I thought that it might reduce the flow just enough to get you back where you'd like to be.

But then I have some pretty outside the box ideas from time to time. LOL. (IE: Dumb)

You're running 10 PSI ?

Yup and she loves it

I'll be hitting the dyno soon and we'll see how your intake tube idea and a little S-Tuning will affect my overall numbers. I'm expecting great results

Darrien want to try somehting?
This will reduce the flow but you definitely want to keep the flow smooth as well. The longer you make it, the smoother the transition will be for the air inside of it. You cant just cover up X surface area of the opening. 20 minutes with a plastic funnel and a dremmel i did this..

Airflows this way -------------------->>>>

Question about RPM readings.

Ive ntoiced that the tach on the cluster displays appx 300 rpm more(or was it less..sorry) than whats on the ST...it seems to be worse as the rpm increases. At idle it appears spot on but at 3000rpm its off....then at 6000 its off even more.
Im asking becasue i have had the same issue with my LM3 data logger. It shows spot on at idle but then the error increases as rpm increases. We were just out playing with Dariens car and i noticed the RPM on the ST acted the same way as it does on my LM3.

My rpm pic up is directly off a pin on the LH. Im going to try an old fashion inductive clamp on a wire to see if there is any difference.

Whether it high or low, Is there some sort of inherent error between an actaul rpm reading and what is shown on the cluster. Im not talking transient either. IF I hold a steady 4000rpm in nutreal the readings on my LM3 and the ST against the cluster are off.
Just curious.

I would trust the STer/LM3 over the analouge needle. There are bound to be vaiances in the gauges.

Darien should have one of these in his hands any day now

Thanks Tim

Ok, while out tuning today, Tony and I were dialing in WOT settings. After we got the AFR's in th 12's we decided to run a few data logs.

I'm confused on the "inj duty cycle %". Below are some examples at WOT:

2810 RPM--inj duty cycle 98%--4.99 MAF V
3827 RPM--inj duty cycle 125%--5.51 MAF V
4875 RPM--inj duty cycle 160%--5.83 MAF V
5878 RPM--inj duty cycle 219138%--6.05 MAF V

Anyone know how to interpret those % numbers (John)??

Also, how would my overall numbers change with lower MAF V readings?

Are these #'s from the STer or from a Innovate datalogger like what Tony has?

Hello Tony
ST figures are measured direct at the uC in the LH, these will be correct...

Hi Darien
There is a point at which the injectors change from being fired once every engiine rpm to every 2 rpm to incrrease the available injector on time per firing cycle. But I would only believe the first of your values because all the threee higher values are above the voltage at which the LH ECU can measure MAF voltage.

That's why you need to use that restrictor of Tims :-)
