Well, after numerous months of testing and development the Murf 928 Stage 3 has become reality. There were many moments that I did not think it was going to be possible to provide this kit the way I had it all dreamed up in my head because of many obstacles along the way.
The goal was 500 rwhp, perfect drivability and running reliability and that's what we have.
I did most of the tuning on the street for the cruise and ignition maps and then 3 trips to the dyno to get the WOT maps tuned. After getting the fuel tuned we hooked up the ignition computer and I would only get random knock counts from the knock sensors (stock s4's have way more). On the dyno I advanced one degree of timing and the car made the exact amount of power, still with no knock counts (I think I picked up 3 random knocks but that was it) so I took the one degree back out for added safety margin and left it there. The dyno operator (who tunes a lot of cars) said the car could easily handle 5 psi more boost but I have zero plans to go there. ~500 rwhp is a very capable car.
I will have this car at SITM if anyone would like a ride. You will not believe how stock this car feels and drives. Even though the car is very powerful anyone who didn't know better would think this is the way it came from the factory.
When you start into these ventures you never know if you are just wasting a bunch of time or if you are indeed chasing reality.
I'm very very pleased with how it turned out.
The price of the kit is currently $7995.00 and expect 4 weeks to ship. The cost of everything in the kit is continuing to go up so don’t be surprised to see a price increase by the end of the summer.

VERY NICE....637 crank HP...on an otherwise stock S4 auto......VERY NICE...
How much boost are you running? Also do you have any sound files of what it sounds like, say at idle..normal driving & WOT.....can you hear the S/C whine?

What i'm seeing and realling liking about this SC kit is the stock intake....looks almost stock under the hood.....Tim has obviously taken a different approach. I'm twitching......
