Hmmmm, mine runs fine with 42# injectors, a regular MAF and no sharktuner. Not even a piggyback computer!

It's much harder to build boost at our 4400' altitude, a V2-sq topped out at 7psi manifold, a V1-T did 10psi at maximum rpm. I am now using a V7-Ysi and only spinning it at 58k. It will do 65k. I think it has 15ish psi capability at this altitude if I want to push it. I also have two blow-off valves, one is a mechanical relief valve that opens at 14psi just in case he takes it to sea level and does not want to try and control 15+psi on pump gas.

Everyone must realize that ours is a custom build, not a kit like Tim has introduced. This car has external engine oil and transmission coolers, a much larger intercooler and several other mods to run safely at this level. It involved removing the engine and swapping headgaskets as well as installing a custom oil control system. For Tim to accomplish this horsepower level with a kit is simply awesome. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

Hacker
Did you ever post the dyno video?

George
Get on the phone man!!!! upgrade whatever it takes to get the 510whp.....with your exhaust set up your car should dyno higher than that.....then you could install the 2.20 and hit 200 easy!!

Florida sucks, it's the ugliest state, hurricanes, filled with the weirdest losers (928 owners excluded of course), go on Fark.com, they have a "Florida" tag for the constant stream of news stories on that could only happen in Florida. I'm from IL originally, and winters and Porsches suck. There's a reason why homes in Florida are so cheap.

IN fact, did you know that I bought a house in a frost-free place [Fort Lauderdale] largely because this place is frost free? Wilton Manors is the name.

Now, lets add boost to M28's inverse to degrees fahrenheit in Broward County Florida. I spent the day helping my significant other run his business, via painting the eaves of a house.

I haven't flown a 727 since May 5th....I'm concerned about the fact that I might even be a bit rusty! I keep my manuals close at hand!

Not true Andrew !

SuperMAF is one way of remapping to the much larger load levels experienced once you get above about 500crank HP, and remapping using the SharkTuner.

DR has not used a SuperMAF because he only measures half the airflow into the engine. Tim has used another system which also allows the use of a standard MAF.

Both DR and Tim have made extensive use of the SharkTuner to remap their superchanrged kits, both LH and EZK.

I guess I should have said the SuperMAF is not an absolute necessity. For some it may be the way to go, but like you said both DR and Murf have found a way around the 5v limitation of the standard MAF for high HP applications.

What kind of workaround Tim uses? I don't see any reason to try too complex ways since SuperMAF is readily available from John.

As John mentioned, the stage three kit does not use a SuperMAF. The method used is different than the way DR's setup is, where half the airflow is measured, but it does allow for load based mapping through the entire engine power range. The SharkTuner was used for mapping, and the resulting chips are part of the stage three kit. The chips will not work in any car not using this load based configuration, and this configuration will not be available outside of the stage three kit, or to those who are upgrading their current kit to the stage three level... unless I can talk Tim into releasing a stage four kit.

No, I think there's room for at least an additional stage or two in between the stage three and Todd's car.

I think he should cut to the chase and just go to stage 11.
