Tim,
I would love a ride. I helped Don T. install his Murph kit (he is thinking about the stage 3). H elet me drive the car about a month ago. I was impressed with how it could also be easily driven around town and pulled like a freight train when commanded! I would love to see how an extra 100 HP effects drivability.

Very impressive numbers. What was done to SC pulleys to take boost up to 11-12 level? Recipe sounds same as what two local S4's have except boost is higher. Are pulleys available separately? Asking this because I know '87 automatic owner will ask this from me first thing tomorrow morning.

I just bought the rubber needed for this (295s), now I need to save my pennies for the upgrade!

What would the cost be to just get the parts required to upgrade from the Stage I to Stage II - just the difference in asking price I assume?

Awesome job.

What comes in the stage 3 kit? Think this could be adapted for an OB?

and DAMN that's a powerful motor. Off idle, your car makes more HP and torque than my 4-banger at limiter.

500!!! That ROCKS!

That's a nice goal... Hmmmmmmm. [thinking]

So let's see... If I can make 475RWHP (currently 441, but needs some tuning) at 8psi of boost, figure 328*.85=279 stock RWHP. That means 196 additional RWHP / 8psi = ~24RWHP per psi of boost. If I go up to 9.5~10psi, I should be able to make 500+ RWHP. Yep... That's a nice goal...

Tim, after talking to you Sunday evening, I could tell by your excitement that this lion would soon be let out of it's cage. That being said, where's mine????

Tim's Stage III is damn close to the setup on my 81. With the boost he's running a US OB will see around 400rwhp.

Wow, 500+hp at the wheels is incredibly impressive Tim! I wanna be third in line for a ride. I remember last year at SITM on Sunday when we were having a mini hands on TB adjustment session in the rear parking lot of the hotel. You were leaving & I just wanted to hear your car wind up a bit, but you didn't want to risk upsetting the folks at the Best Western. So I gotta somehow get on the schedule for some passenger seat time just to say I've ridden in an SC'd shark!

Howabout an S? lol

Andrew, at those boost levels I'd suggest 951 pistons.

US S? .5 CR higher so not a big deal. The Euro's will hit 400rwhp with much less boost.

Why? Tim's other car is running 17+psi on stock (dished) pistons.
