[QUOTE=928ntslow]HA! PCA Concours...Childs play! Their logo is "Everybody's a winner!". Just show up and be the only one in your class and you win first place.
Try hitting the competitions where there are more than just Porsches. I got a couple of those, but my fav is the German Autofest. The only one like it and the biggest in the United States. Porsches from all over the nation come to this baby. Have a look at the gold cup with the granite base.
The sucker weighs about 3 or 4 lbs. That was for the GTS

I really think it depends on the region and event. I've shown at a few concours and attended many others and judged a couple and there really are different levels even in the same club. SoCal had some crazy concours events and they really got carried away with how the cars were judged. It's good because those that showed, even in show and shine learned a great deal and maintained their cars better.

I look at concours as a "fun" event.....I try to make the 928 look good...but it is a 95K mile 20 year old driver.....its not a concours "live in a bubble & trailer" queen......so it does have "some" bumps and bruises (okay not that many).....I just try to keep sharky looking its best....
I do think the rejex is better......carnuba adds its own unique color to the paint.....I feel it makes the paint lighter...which I DONT want.....Rejex just adds gloss and protection + it lasts just about forever....I do have some a new long life sealant thats easier to use than rejex and shinier....I'm gonna try that today.....its supposed to work well with the carnuba to make a silly shine...we'll see!

PCA National Concours @ Parade is the "Real Deal", as cited by the amount of disassembly for cleaning, painting and plating. Mostly garage queens at that level that see 5 miles per year driven, and 1000's of hours in prep. No Thanks

Looks awesome Brian!!
As a few others have stated and from these pictures, I think the Rejex may look 'slightly' better (deeper colour) but I'd l kill to have either![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Yesterday, I ordered a PC, pads and Optimum polish (and a few other things) and should get them before the weekend to try on my black '89. From what I have read, it's supposedly difficult to do damage with the PC (as compared to a rotary) so we'll see how it goes.

Love that shine. I keep my car clean, but not nearly that clean.
I don't want this to become a Rejex love fest, but my car is parked outside year-round; summer sun, winter snow, pigeons all year. Rejex is the only thing I need. Applied correctly it lasts from spring to spring. It also works great on the wheels and really keeps brake dust down.

Rejex is a Polymer with no Silicone oils. It works best with no other preparations under it or over it. It would actually decrease it's life to have wax under it. Wax over it would diminish it's luster. Rejex can be built up by applying additional coats, eight to ten hours apart.

Charley ,Does Rejex work better if it is left on longer or if you use multiple applications left on for shorter periods. I put it on on Monday and I an taking it off tonight ,but that is just me.

Wow! I have had terrible luck leaving things on for too long. The fluxuation of moisture overnight could cause you some problems. Once rejex has dried to a haze (15 to 20 minutes in the shade) it has finished that phase of it's job. It should be wiped off, no rubbing required, and then it begins to bond to the finish. This takes 8 to 12 hours and is easily disturbed by changes in temperature and humidity. Once bonded, another coat can be added, and another, as long as each coat has a chance to bond to the finish.
