It is a great feeling to pull into the garage and see the ceiling of the garage in the hood of your car. Yours clearly can do this. Nicely done!

Of course

http://zone7.pca.org/index.php?page=concres&year=2006

Only 1 event in 2006, one win, but I beat the 951 that won for the "year" (due to my lack of attendance)

In 2005 I competed in wash & shine

2 1st's and 1 second, two a perfect 200 point score boxster...but how hard is it to keep a 2003 nice?

Nice! This was my first event. It's intriguing to see what goes on and hear some of the tales of lunacy. I figured I'd do it, and say I did it. But, now that I got the trophy-this happened last Saturday-I'm thinking of doing it again in the fall, but I know the competition will be tougher then too, so I'd have to raise my game as well. But, at the same time, I don't know that I need another car-related activity to tie up time and money, as I've got the track thing going with the 911...

I was "unlucky" enough to win my 1st event too..... Everyone knows I am just slightly more than picky when it comes to my 928....but you have to be a true freak to win consistently in PCA concours......I still plan on attending a few events every year just for fun...but don't think I will make the 5 required for year end awards.... I do consider it a compliment when other front engined water cooled cars ask me what class I am in...then enter a different class!! :>)

Too funny....sounds quite familiar.

One of our judges, who is involved with national PCA Concours, told us some stories about the evolution of the whole concept of Concours. You're right, you need to be a true freak to win nationally. He knew 928's too, and talked about how to really compete, the rear bumper cover should come off for true cleaning of the understructure, and other hints and tips.

Stuff like grass blades being a foreign object on your tires, or the ever so hesitant starting of an engine being cause for points reduction is enough to make me run from this prospect.

Looks great Brian! Of course, the real test is how it will look in a month. Initially I used the finest carnauba I could find without breaking the bank, and after 2 weeks it looked like the Rejex looks after ~1 year....

Once again, I wish you guys would stop encouraging Brian.I live a stones throw away from him and I have to see this sort of thing on a nearly daily basis . It's depressing in person.

I was admiring my car yesterday and commented to a buddy at how shiny it looked even though I clayed and Rejexed it over a month ago. It looks awesome.

As for your pics... I kind like the Rejex ones better, but it could be the lighting - the color looks deeper to me.

HA! PCA Concours...Childs play! Their logo is "Everybody's a winner!". Just show up and be the only one in your class and you win first place.

Try hitting the competitions where there are more than just Porsches. I got a couple of those, but my fav is the German Autofest. The only one like it and the biggest in the United States. Porsches from all over the nation come to this baby. Have a look at the gold cup with the granite base. The sucker weighs about 3 or 4 lbs. That was for the GTS

Seriously, these things are fun, only to find out you paid too much money in the long run for false bragging rights and the trophy's cost less than your entry fee and the hot dog lunch. I think I paid $300 one year for all of the entries...and I got bored with the whole thing REAL quick. I'd gladly give 'em the trophies back in exchange for my cash. No more of those things for me!
