Don't be jealous because I have the ultra rare color shifting red-ish paint......

Here is the link to the last step product I used......it is a wipe on & thats it product......I found that a little buffing removed the light haze and added a touch of shine (not like it needed it)

I get Rejex here,
http://www.skygeek.com/polish-wax.html
It's about $5.00 cheaper than I can find it anywhere else - for the 16oz. bottle. Since it's for airplanes, I'm sure I'm getting a bit higher top end.

Then of course, when you buy 4 or 5 bottles, you can save on shipping.

I'm afraid mine doesn't look quite as deep as Brian's.

I am 100% confident that any guards red 928 can look exactly like mine with enough polishing (short of totally ruined paint).....it just takes TIME TIME & more time on the buffer.......yours could easily shine the same.....my paint looks great in pictures, but has lots of little dings-scratches that are very hard to correct on our rock hard paint!

Nah, open the hood... prove that you drive the thing!

Or do you want to leave the hood closed so we can't see the secret euro parts...

As Charley says, wax under it is a and common wax has enough abrasives in it that it will abrade away the coating of Rejex(per the Rejex site).

The best preparation is first to assume that Rejex will hide nothing -- the layer ends up only being a few angstroms thick so it won't even fill the finest hairline scratches. So, second thing is to polish the crap out of the paint before applying Rejex, make sure there are no hairline scratches at all if you can help it. Third, very carefully wash the car with soap and a brand-new microfiber to get rid of any polishing residue. Finally, apply the Rejex per instructions late in the day, on cold paint, indoors.

In the morning, pick your jaw up off the floor when you see how much shinier your car has become during the final cure process. Then repeat the procedure -- dust the car, apply a second coat of Rejex per instructions, let it cure till the following morning.

Last time I did this was just before Sharktoberfest '05, and I still get compliments on the shine -- even though I know where the Rejex has worn off and it doesn't look so good. I may get a booby prize at SITP for "Egregious Shark Neglect" but I'm planning to rectify the situation before SATL.

I'll summarize Daves post......

Its all about PREP........for a super shine, you need a properly polished paint to apply the wax of your choice...then let it cure in proper shade-temp-time etc......rejex is very easy to use and works very well.... Its hard putting on a sweet coat of wax...then closing the garage and NOT DRIVING IT....it hurts me everytime! :>)
