I'll be interested in one or two. First name the price ,so it don't get me by surprise je. Im using my s weekly, because my pick up is being painted and don't have any option, but to use the car. My concern is to leave it open, that's why I need the pice ;-)

Nexty, can you use some JB Weld on that crack temporarily? I did that for awhile until I needed to finally change my latch. It will crack all the way through ultimately, but using epoxy will slow it down. Make sure you get the epoxy IN the crack and not on the side of the housing and make sure it cures well before reattaching to the body.

Well I do it tomorow in the shop, but you think the JB Weld is goinna stick the two parts together? Because it broke in half. Hope it work for a bit of time.

If it has already broken completely in half, I wouldn't bother with JB Weld. Just toss the part. When I used JB Weld there was only a hair line crack starting and I jammed it into the crack.

I tried JB - no luck. It flexed and broke again immediately. I waited a year for 928 Intl to come up with one that was not already cracked.

Waoo a year, jummm that sounds bad. Im thinking what I can do now. I'll wait for brett ,to see if he has something ,but if not then I'll be in trouble. Let's wait until morning to ask my friends at the shop what they think about that may be someone thinks of something i don't know, but hey like my granny always said: always face bad times, with a smile, may be I find a solution very soon ;-)

I need one. I'll suck up and pay for it, too. Looking forward to replacing both the housing and the plastic tongue.
I need one with an alarm, are you planning on two versions?

As a base line consider the following ---
Purchase a upper hatch lock assembly without alarm and without a specified key. So the key does not match your original and the latch is a non alarm latch. New from Porsche these are $151.
Buy an alarm latch, pin and spring for $15.50 and retrofit including swaping in the alarm harness connection. Extract your lock from the old latch assembly and install in the new one.
Total cost $166.50 plus some shipping and a couple hours on the kitchen side.
I think a CNC copy is going to be much more than this possibly!

Roger - Does that idea actually work? I thought the the alarm and non-alarm housings were different, so the guts could not be swapped.

Hi Bill,
Looking at them side by side the only difference externally seems to be the separate plate where the alarm harness connector sits. This again looks like it could be swapped out.
Maybe a project for the weekend.
Worst case drop the alarm and be happy that the key does not match the rest. In my case no worries as I have remote unlock of the hatch.

Somewhere I got the impression that if an alarm housing cracked, you were stuck with replacing it with same. Super expensive new. Expensive used and rarely available. So, Roger if your idea works, that's a real plus.
