Expensive is right - with alarm and no specific key is $450. Key to match original is $482.
Only one way to find out 8>) I never have a problem with being wrong but in this case I hope I am right.

My cousing and me may be able to make it at the shop. We were talking about it today, but I will need one that its not broken because mine had one side so thin it broke very bad and will take us more time to do it. I welded it with a combination of argon and aluminium. It was not an easy job, but now I can close fin aly my car. Some places the torch was very agressive but got the job done. I needed to mount it, so din't have much time to take all the measures ,thats why I'll need one for replacing that one or to try the new cnc my cousing brough to the shop and play a little bit. ;-)

I have my upper latch, lower latch, and latch motor out. I have an aftermaker Viper alarm, so I don't know if this latch setup is alarm or non-alarm. How do I tell? Mine isn't damaged in any way that I can see.

I talked to my friend today. I will be making the acad drawing for his CNC machine. He wants to do an initial run of at least 50 units. If all goes well, another 50 will be made. This will be made out of either steel or aluminum; most likely steel. Another possibility exists for making the housing out of sheet steel and he will speak to his neighbor who has a steel fabricating shop. However, I think the end product will be a fabrication out of billet steel. It will not break or crack. I will need a bit of time to make the drawing as it is not my top priority right now.

Bilal just tried the swap and it does not work - bummer.
As already stated they are slightly different housings.
So if you still want an alarm set up then buy new or lets hope they can CNC one for a better price.
For those that do not care about the alarm on the trunk the non alarm is the way to go.

I got the non alarm assembly from Roger. The housing is different than the alarm version. The internals of the alarm version will not fit in the non alarm version. The housing is one casting. I will take some pictures of both and post them this weekend.
