Brett, this place is also like a frat...........there is entertainment in hazing, when it is appropriate..............and it is acceptable in the "American culture" as well as preferable to going all medieval on someone, yeah?

cheers, mate.

It is apparent that many have found a particular newbie to be a TROLL of sorts. THAT is what is the issue. Some had responded, (myself included) in a manner of WTF!?!?! I think now, we have mellowed and either laugh at it and DON'T take ANYTHING he says as serious or (like me) just ignore and skip past his posts.
...... I try to give people I meet (in this case read ) a fair shake and respect everyone's individual opinions/experiences until I have a reason not to. I just responded to the same individual you speak of when I said to myself WTF after reading one of his expert responses! I try not to let this stuff get under my skin but this individual reminds me of the kid everyone used to beat on during recess.

Default Buying 928s high and selling low

Zeus,

I'm not sure I'd go that far. I ask some pretty stupid questions and get some equally stupid (but funny and sometimes sharp, deserved...or even tactfully phrased helpful) answers. I'm starting to get a bit gun shy about some topics that I don't dare bring up anymore (about 928 value trends, 951 vs 928, etc.) My nose is still bleeding from the last time. Admittedly, I am getting better though. I can now tell the difference between a 951. a 968, and a 928. And I know that the 928 is certainly faster! Verdad, 95Juan and Lart951?

Mark Twain did say something along the lines of "Dumb men will open their mouths and prove it..." I gotta get me a muzzle. It's a good thing I'm a tee-totaller. I'd then be so dumb you could smell in on me...while right now you can only perceive it.

Tightly moderated forums suck. I was on a Mustang performance mailing list that was moderated with an iron hand, day, week, eternal bans happened a lot. It was a good list, very hard core technical people, not at all newbie friendly, and eventually it got stale, but was a good place to lurk and archive what people said. Most of the serious racing guys I have met are that way, practical first, open to opinion, but track results are what counts, and bench racers a topic of amusement.

Thats like math class, this forum is more like PE, where having fun is part of it as well as being social. Seems kind of weird that a few of you want it to be like math class.

Apologies if I seem to be down on this guy...but I have always looked on this forum as one of the best places ANYWHERE in the world to get high class and friendly information and help on the 928

I dont think this guy is helping that image though....

All the best Brett
British (you must be English) humor is more high brow e.g. Benny Hill, Monty Python, and never dry or tongue in cheek. Is that Bouquet or Bucket?

Whats worse, math class or english?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_Farm

Synopsis

When the farm's prize-winning pig, Old Major, calls a meeting of all the animals of Manor Farm, he tells them that he has had a dream in which mankind is gone and animals are free to live in peace and harmony; his ideals can be compared to Anarchist Communism or even some aspects of Leninism. He compares the humans to parasites, and then proceeds to teach the animals a revolutionary song, "Beasts of England."

When Old Major dies a mere three days later, two young boars - Snowball and Napoleon - assume command, and turn his dream into a full-fledged philosophy. The starved animals suddenly revolt one night and drive the farmer, Mr. Jones, his wife, and his pet raven, Moses, from the farm. The farm is then renamed "Animal Farm."

The Seven Commandments of the new philosophy of Animalism are written on the wall of a barn for all to read. The seventh and most important is "all animals are equal." All animals work, but the workhorse, Boxer, does more than his fair share and adopts a maxim of his own — "I will work harder."

and as is the common failing of communism or most any government, the last commandment is later changed to read "but some animals are more equal than others"

All bonded by our common love of 928s , as always.

This stuff is starting to affect our regularly scheduled programming.

Personally, I'd like to see danglerb build his car. Or not. That would say it all to me.

Some of you all are just a big in the dreamer department. 60 K on OBs, cars apart all over the place. There isn't enough rennspace to list all my adventures and misadventures. All I know is that I would have run from my beloved 928s a long time ago, but for a few kind listers who had been there.

Right now Namvet is my hero. Cause he's living my dream. And when I contribute, That is what I want to share. Cause all this is is some kind of adult adolecent fantasy.

+1 what Doc said. Use it.
