Dent for breakfast
Late start day for my son, so I took him to breakfast first. Parked the standard Porsche paranoid distance from all others cars, but when we came out somebody had backed into the passenger side just behind the door and left with no note etc. I took some cell phone picts , and will be checking back with the restaurant later today when a manager is in that knows how to check the video tape of the parking lot. I carry a $1000 deductible, but have comprehensive and uninsured motorist which may kick in anyway. I plan to check with a body shop and see what turns up on the tape before talking to insurance. Door seems fine at least so far.
Kind of surprised at how mad it made me.

Dude,
That sucks. There's just no reason for that. I can't stand rude or inconsiderate people. You know, if you don't like something, deal with it, there's no reason to bash it. And if it was an accident, fine, own up to it, pay for the mistake and move on.
It hasn't happened to me on this car yet, but it's only a matter of time for a DD. I'd be jumping up and down too.

Makes you want to park in the handicapped spot and if anyones asks if you're handicapped tell them "Yes, I'm handicapped by having to live with all you f^&*ing idiots around me!"

Ouch! Short of an outright collision, that is the worst parking lot hit I've seen. I think that area of the body is pretty solid too, so the force must have been significant. The height of the dent makes me think big truck. Sorry to see that!

That should be an interesting video I sure hope it shows who did it. Good chance it is a "regular" and the employees will know them.

I figure SUV, never even noticed. My son thinks he remembers a Hummer parking in the handicapped spots as we were walking in. Be nice if a license shows on the video tape.
Up close at least it was right on the rub strip, grazing above the wheel, and stopping just as it hits the frame at the door. Guessing that would have been what they should have felt.
I had no idea losing my car virginity would hurt.

Delivery trucks are (in)famous for doing this. How do I know this? I drove a delivery truck during the summer when I was in college.

Dude that really sucks.
About a year ago, me and my wife and son were at a local Wing Stop picking up a call in order. A man pulled into the parking lot and parked right in front of the store to also pick up his to-go order. When he walked in, he wreaked of alcohol. He picked up his order before ours, and left. When he was backing out, my 5 year old saw the man hit the car next to him when he was backing out. The drunk dude turned the wheel too soon and caught the rear quarter panel of the car to his left. When my boy saw it he told us to "look look, that car just hit that other car". My wife quickly wrote down the guy's liscence plate number and we ran outside to try and get the guy to stop. He just kept backing out and drove away. During all of the excitement, my wife had left her mini pocket wallet thing on the bench we were sitting on, and somebody stole it while we were outside talking to the owner of the car and giving them the liscense number. No joke. So, we were up one good deed, and out over a hundred bucks. Luckily, there was only cash and no CC inside.
