Chuck,
Maybe I am wrong - there was something about the stickers that did not look right but after checking a couple of other 95's it looks correct - my bad.
I still hope he gets $100+

Porsche ran out of the gold foil sticker and started putting the same yellow sticker found on the 993 in the last of the GTS production run. Mine has the yellow sticker too.

BTW for all, the asking price of this car is $79,500. I too hope he gets BIG bucks for it.

those seats don't look much better than the ones in my 80k mile '87
Maybe the owner used to sit in it and make BWaaahhh noises?

Probably because he posts this stuff

It's a snide comment knocking the 928 from one of its "owners". Sometimes it seems that non 928 owners give more respect to the model than certain owners.

On topic, I am just amazed at all the low mile examples that have surfaced in the last year and i thinks that's cool.

It's a nice looking car. Roger, I'm with you. I hope the bidding goes out of sight and he gets $100k for it.

Always the same refrain from you already GTS owners. It's not like you plan on selling it, and what would you do if you did? You'd just have to take that bag of money you just made and spend it on another GTS. All you're doing is hoping they are priced out of the market for the true 928 fans here who really want them. Jerks.

Not me; fat, heavy with complex electronics from an older design generation

Besides, I can't afford a lot of cars. But I'm happy with what I have

If this knocks off a sale at that price, I'll feel pretty good about what I paid for my lowly S4. On a side note, but related, last night at B-J, this '78 Corvette pace car edition sold for $43K, IIRC. The kicker is that it only has 117 miles on it, and never went through dealer prep. It still has the factory plastic covers on the seats. Obviously, these cars don't command huge $, but I thought $43K for such a time capsule car is very reasonable. I'd have to believe there aren't a lot of these situations on the planet.

It is also remarkable that someone would buy a car, and put it away like this. Supposedly, the owner started it monthly, didn't shut the doors all of the way and occasionally moved it, so it looks like the proper steps were taken to keep it all good. I wonder if there is a 928 somewhere that is of similar situation?

I misinterpreted your comment. I guess I'm expecting the usual set of whiners to chime in at any moment about the market owes them a good price on a GTS because they are enthusiasts and looked right past your .

I have difficulty understanding owning a car like a '95 GTS for 12 years and only driving it 10,707 miles. I would love to buy a GTS, but not this one. I want one I can drive without feeling like a shmuck for defiling a museum piece. I feel the same way when I watch the B-J auction when $100K+ time capsules with spotless undercarriages roll across the stage. I don't want a car that I would feel stupid for driving. There is a division between hotrod builders... those with "rat rods" and those with "trailer queens". I know which side I'm on.
(I'm glad I don't have to drive my 84S across that B-J camera that shows the world its undercarriage!)
That said...Chuck, Kermit is still my all time favorite!

Did it occur to those questioning the reason for the low mileage is that the owner might be wealthy enough to own a large collection of cars? Extreme Example: Jerry Seinfeld. Would you consider Jerry or J. Leno not enthusiasts for not piling on the mileage on a specific car of theirs? I have a friend who lives half a mile away who is a true Porschephile and can afford to have 11 Porsches (last count + half a dozen other non-Porsche enthusiast cars). I doubt that he is able to run the mileage up on any of his cars if he wants to enjoy them all.

Which side am I on? Being able to afford to DRIVE a stable of cars in mint condition. Alas, it won't be happening in my life time. Hopefully some of you in this forum will.

BEN S.
