The 928 is my daily driver and I love it. If the weather is bad, I take the Silverado.
Its great to be able to make a choice, to be able to leave the shark at home safe and sound when its snowing, or storming.

I drive mine every day. So far 10k miles since Feb 06. I bought it to enjoy and as inexpensive as they are, I figure if i wear it out, i'll just buy another and keep on going. However, i'm 52 now. If i get 35 more years driving, i can probably fit a couple of sharks in that time.

I try and split my time between the '90 and '91 GT's and the Jeep gets driven when the weather is really bad or the roads have been sanded- which has been often lately.

Once I sell my 525i it will be my only car, but I normally commute by motorcycle. So, opposite of other comments here, I will likely drive it more when the weather is bad. But "bad" isn't really bad here. If it does get really bad, I can take a bus as my home and work are on the same line, and goes right outside each. Only 5 miles to work.

80 mile roundtrip commute. The 928 is used more than half the time, for now over 100K miles in 6 years. The other days I'm on one of my motorcycles. Only had one incident where the 928 failed on the way to work. That was when the LH brain failed. Fortunately the diagnosis was pretty clear and Marc Thomas drove a replacement over to me in less than an hour. I've never had a car with 175K miles on the odometer that felt and looked this close to new.

I have owned mine for 10 years, and I have lived in several cities. Other than being stored for winter (away from snow and salt) it has been my daily driver for most of that time - currently being shared by myself and my partner. That is how I account for the 220k plus miles.

Every day... My trip to work is so short that 3 times a week or so I take the long way, turning a 3 mile commute into a 10 mile commute to make sure the car gets nice & hot.

30kms a day or so the last 12 months (no snow here even in xmas).
Down-time since january tune-up: 2h to replace battery (lights on overnight) and 4h to replace CV boot plus 8h or so trying to align using crappy optic machines -I finally did it with stands and threads-.
Mid year scheduled service: spark plugs, oil change, air filter.
Needs for next January tune-up: front brakes, side marker's relay.
(It had one rear light off for a couple of hours. I bought a replacement but didn't have to replace, as it fixed itself)

I've used mine as daily drivers for the past 11 years. Handles great in the snow we get here in Texas, and yes it does get deep some years. The GT had limited slip and now the GTS has PSD so I've never been stranded.

Been using my 89 S4 for the last 10 years as a commuter between Johannesburg and Pretoria (100km round trip - all motorway) No snow, just 3rd world wrecks to avoid.

DD for 4 years, then sat for almost a year with very limited driving, promoted to summer car, and now we've come full circle as it has become my year-round daily driver again.
The wife's got a new job and needs the BMW, so the 3 days a week where I drive to work (100km roundtrip) it's the 928 and I ain't complaining
.
****ty weather means that both the car and I stays home
... Plowing snow with the 928 can be fun, but not when you need to be somewhere at a designated time.

I don't - but thats because I can't carry all my tools & test equipment in the Shark. So I use my Supercrew F150 4x4 pretty much year round or rent vehicles if I know I'm going to be doing a logging a lot of miliage.
